She wasn't trustworthy. Everyone knew that, right? Everyone knew that she was conniving, yet they could hardly say no to her anyway. Perhaps the fact that she was representing Los Santos meant that she was less likely to betray those she entered into agreements with, but one could never truly be sure with her. Not even the assumption that she would do whatever best suits her held true 100% of the time.

A pleasant smile appeared on her face as her gaze dipped to the ground. "Perfect. I look forward to it." Her gaze lifted, though her lids remained half closed, so she ended up looking at Eddie through her eyelashes. "Would you mind letting me stay long enough for a quick bite? I've got my own food, I just don't wanna eat in the snow."

    Despite being very aware of their past, something told Eddie just maybe - just maybe - he ought to at least somewhat give Sel the benefit of the doubt. He by no means could go as far as to trust her, but she was here to form an alliance with Flintlock Lodge, not Eddie himself. Plus, she had a baby on the way - that ought to count as something, right? She'd want a safe environment for her child, as did Eddie with his two, and so she'd not want to meddle with Flintlock, with the Stirling family.

That was what Eddie hoped, anyway. He didn't need any more conflict in his life; he'd already had enough in the past several months. Eyes remained on Sel carefully, features impassive to her cheery smile. He blinked at her question before gesturing quickly towards her, ❝ Yeah, no. Of course. Take as long as you need. ❞ He began to stand up, brushing his trousers down. ❝ You want some water? Tea? Coffee? ❞

Now, Sel might be here with motivations as benign as they come (from her), but saying that she wasn't interested in meddling might be going too far. She always liked sticking her hand in things, trying to influence the outcome even when she had nothing to do with it. She just liked being involved.
