The Felixes had largely been keeping a low profile for a while. Maintaining their business, of course, making small expansions into territories no other significant families would notice, let alone object to. Biding their time, as always, quietly amassing their power without observation while waiting for the family to grow yet again. For the first time since the loss of her sisters.

As much as it was a surprise for Edmund that she was here, it was a surprise for her that he was. The Stirlings had a hold on Flintlock? She wondered how significant it was, if there were a lot of them here. The last she'd heard, the family had suffered a bit of a fracture. If it didn't play to her own family's advantage, she might be sympathetic.

"Eddie Stirling-Moray? Fancy meeting you here." She was damn near purring. "I'm here to discuss a potential alliance between Flintlock Lodge and Los Santos."

    Whilst the reign of the Felix crime family had seemingly simmered down in the Stirling's radar, Edmund had no doubt that somewhere out there they were still working like rats thriving below in the sewers. He expected nothing less from the sly, scarily quick-witted and cunning family. And, whilst he kept tabs on connections in the criminal enterprise nearby, Selena stepping up as Los Santos' leader had slipped from his radar entirely.

Sometimes the least conspicuous events would end up being the greatest.

Eddie's eyes were wary as they followed Selena's movements. Though the war a few years ago had decimated the Reavers, not the Felixes, her father had thought it wise for them to avoid any large confrontations with other families, particularly after the fire. They would bide their time, rebuild their strength, but one day... one day that all might change. Sel was in no hurry for that, though, because the peace was what allowed her to do this.

Not trusting her intentions was always a wise decision, because no matter how plain or detailed she was with her motivations, there would always be something else underneath. Sometimes she could define it, and other times not even she could put words to describe what that ulterior goal was. Just that it was something deep and visceral. "If the choice is talk to you or come back, I'll talk to you." She patted her stomach. "Because darlin', I'm cookin' up a baby and y'all live on a mountain. Not so sure I'll have another climb in me anytime soon. Unless she'd be able to come talk to me?"

    Admittedly, when the Reavers and Felixes were at war, the Stirling family were able to sit back and assume that the two crime families had succeeded in tearing each other apart from limb to limb. Nobody had won in that war, apart from the party that was not even involved. It left the Stirling family to turn and deal with their own issues, namely internal issues within their organisation. In fact, the lack of confrontation with other groups had been comfortable, if not a little bit unsettling considering the family had made many enemies over the years.

After all that'd been happening in the more recent months, Eddie wasn't sure if his family could handle more bloodshed.

And, how could he tell if this was a genuine attempt at peace between two groups, or an enemy scoping the area ahead of an ambush? Ed couldn't tell anymore, apart from the small actuality that Sel was smart enough to not want to cause trouble whilst with child. Maybe this was nothing more than an attempt to hold out the olive branch, not between family to family but between group to group. If Hayley was here, she'd want peace.

❝ No, no - that's fine. ❞ He dismissed in a hushed utterance, flitting his gaze around before tipping his head towards the lodge. ❝ Lets get you inside. ❞ He turned and began to wander back, ensuring that he walked at the same pace beside her as they wandered indoors. ❝ So, potential alliance- ❞ He questioned. A pause in his words as he stepped into the living room and took a seat. And then - ❝ how can we be certain that you'll keep your word? ❞ Edmund asked; after all, not to make things personal, but he knew the Felix family. Sel wasn't so sure she'd agree that the war with the Reavers had ended in a draw. After all, they had lost five of their men and the Felixes survived unscathed. A sixteen-year-old girl had to take over, even with older relatives that one would have expected to do the job. But Elizabeth had done well, Sel hated to admit, rebuilding everything that had been lost. Aside from the lives, that is, but apparently there were more Reaver children running around than Felix.

Not what Sel would consider an ideal situation.

Good. This meeting would be continuing, and better yet, inside. She went alongside him, hands still around the baby bump. She sat down across from him, serene up until his question. She stiffened, a sour look crossing her face. Though she didn't bring ill will, it was always wise to question her trustworthiness. Still, Sel didn't particularly enjoy it.     Putting aside all of the foremost confusion of reuniting with Sel (he says as if it were a good thing), Eddie was quick to realize that making a pregnant woman stand outside shivering in the bitter cold after a long, long trek up a mountain was an asshole move on his part. And so, with a sigh, he was quick to welcome her into the warmth of the lodge; luckily, the lodge was quiet enough for private conversation.

But, this was as far as his kindness would take them. He was still wary, cautious around the vixen and for good reason; she was an absolute liability to have around, in his opinion. Her entire family, for a matter of fact. And so, he'd keep her at arms length, gazing across the table at her with his stone cold eyes. A short breath of laughter left through his nostrils at Sel's question, Ed leaning back comfortably in his seat as he eyed her out carefully.

❝ I thought you liked the special treatment, Sel. ❞ He commented, quirking an almost playful brow at her. He hesitated for a moment before shifting and moving the conversation along swiftly. ❝ So. What would you like to see in an alliance between two groups? ❞

Sel was like a door to door salesman in a way, and not some door to door salesman that was ballsy enough to sell drugs. Regardless of what she was after or what she was trying to peddle, an inch was all she needed to get her foot in the door. And once she had her foot in the door, she was basically in.

"Oh, I adore it." She said, tossing her head back. "But it has its moments of inconvenience." At least he was moving past that line of questioning onto something more productive. What does she want to see in an alliance? "All the usual things, friendly relations and events together, potentially a trade deal as well?" A lot of Los Santos' spare resources were going towards Bluestem, so having goods flowing in would definitely be good.

— Sel is a very bold, competitive and stubborn person, with a wild side that is shown frequently as well as flirtatious tendencies. She is easily bored and is always on the lookout for adventure, with a spark of curiosity that she hopes will lead to what she seeks: adventure and romance. She seems to not be a very serious person and would rather have fun than be productive, and failing entertainment she can be quite productive and get quite a bit done. She's loud and lacks discipline. While Sel is irresponsible (and oddly bossy) and wild, she is very family-oriented and loves her family dearly. She is usually a cheerful, friendly person but she definitely has a passion for the weird, dark and creepy. She is somewhat vain and egotistical. She has her secrets and one of them is her intelligence and ability to collect information; most dismiss her as a dumb party girl (or something like that) and that's part of her cover, she has her fair share of sins and has to have a way of hiding them, and because she is a good liar and good actress, she succeeds.
