It was around a month later since Carlos moved in with them. Kyle had noticed Carlos was doing a bit better. Carlos and Kyle were currently walking to their school. They had just dropped Ike off at his school. Kyle glanced ahead. He seemed pretty happy.

carlos really was doing a lot better. he still didn’t smile much, and he refused to let people touch him, but he was getting closer to being a healthy weight. he wasn’t quite there, but he was close. he hummed softly as he moved along. “you think the gym teacher will let me skip if i start limping?” he asked curiously.

He was silent for a moment. “Well, if you’re actually in pain or have a problem, I’m sure he would.” Kyle murmjred

he paused. “kyle, i just don’t want to do gym. i don’t mean actually limping i mean faking.” he stated. he looked to him, that dead-inside look to his eyes.
