/ye ye~ maybe Buford has secretly been learning Hindi before this and so he brought Baljeet's secret love notes with him to the sleepover to translate in front of Baljeet??

so, ballet was completely unaware of what was going on and what was being planned as he played some game with phinaes and isabella, buford, seth, and fern all sat away.
seth seemed very happy just chatting with fern. “so, what do you wanna know~?”

Buford was... Thinking. For the past few months, he had started learning Hindi in order to surprise Baljeet, and also to read the notes the other had been giving them since they were in elementary school. He figured they were all just joking insults, or something. Once the latest round of the game they were playing ended, Buford moved over to Baljeet and gently took his arm, "C'mon, I wanna talk to you about something in private."
Ferb wasn't exactly doing very much chatting, but he did like listening to Seth's voice, and he just wanted to reach out and touch his chest. Instead, he signed happily, "Where are you and your family from?"

baljeet paused, making a soft, confused noise. “oh. alright.” he said and stood, tilting his head.
he hummed, shifting where he sat. “new jersey!” he said brightly. that was all the way across the country, as they were on the very edge of the washington state line.

Buford led the other into another empty room before reaching into his bag, pulling out the letters and starting to talk, "So, I wanted to surprise you with the fact that... I've been learning Hindi. Mainly, to read these letters that you keep giving me through the years."
Eyes widening, Ferb signed in surprise, "New Jersey? That's so far away."

ballet followed and froze when he heard what was going on. “oh. oh uh uh. hah, fuck?” he breathed, voice high and nervous. “uh.. ok. go.. go ahead!” he said, hoping that his handwriting would be bad enough that it wasn’t legible.
he nodded and shrug. “not like i had any friends. no one really tried to understand me.. like how i talk.” he explained. “and i constantly took my clothes off, so i was home schooled anyways.”

Buford rose an eyebrow when the other cursed, but he then nodded and spread the letters out in front of him. Despite Baljeet's hopes, they were legible, and after only a couple of minutes of reading, Buford stiffened. After a few minutes, he turned to face Baljeet and breathed, red, "What... Are these... Are these love letters...?"
Ferb giggled a bit and bit his lip, signing, "Uhm... Why take your clothes off?"
