Noctis frowned. “...Is he-“

“Okay? No not really. Ever since you passed away two months ago he’s just...Shut down.” Gladio whisoered. Noctis frowned, watching Ignis. He then moved over to him. He then stopped, kneeling down when he was in front of him. He then gently took one of Ignis’s hands.

“...Ignis?” Noctis asked softly, looking up at him, gently brushing his thumb along Ignis’s hands.

iggy didn’t seem to really register that he was actually there, years springing to his eyes. he looked down, coughing softly. he had never really recovered from the exhaust.

Noct frowned, his gaze softening at the sight of the tears. He felt his chest tighten a bit. He then shifted, a bit. “Ignis, it’s okay...I’m here, Ignis. I’m alive.” He whispered softly.

he whimpered softly, hands shaking as he was slowly talked back into reality.

Noctis watched him, keeping a gentle grip on one of Ignis’s hands. He continued rubbing the back of Ignis’s hand with his thumb, watching him. “...I’m here, mom.” Noctis murmured softly. He had only ever called Ignis ‘mom’ once before. And that was when he was around 16 and had a really bad nightmare so Ignis comforted him. He knew Ignis felt special when he called him mom, so he figured it would help now.

once he was called mom, he instantly broke down and hid his face, sobbing into his hands.

Noctis blinked, shifting and then pulling the other into a hug. He kept him close, resting his face in the other’s hair. He shushed him softly, keeping Ignis close. He slowly rubbed his back, letting his eyes close.

he wrapped his arms around him, barely having any strength to hold onto him, every inch of him shaking.

Noctis soon stopped rubbing his back. He just held the other, keeping Ignis as close as he could without harming him. After a while, Noctis pulled back slightly. He then gently took Ignis’s glasses, setting them aside on the table. He then rested a hand on Ignis’s cheek, brushing a few tears away with his thumb. “...It’s okay.” He murmured softky.
