Noctis nodded, keeping him close. He then sighed softly. He tensed up a bit when he heard a few noises in the distance. Noctis lifted his head slightly, looking around.

he looked up, blinking. he set a hand on noct’s knee a bit nervously.

Noctis blinked, looking around. “...It’s alright Prompto. Probably just the wildlife around here.” He said. However, he stood up, heading over to the edge of the rocky ledge hey were resting on. Noctis then looked around.

prompto frowned, following after one, one hand holding noct’s and the other holding nocts arm.

He blinked, looking around. He frowned, spotting a pack of wild animals trotting across the land a and from them. One of them stopped, looking over at Noctis and Prompto. They were wolf like creatures, except that had sharp tusks on their bottom jaw. The others stopped as well, looking up at them. Their leader seemed to started growling at them, starting to slowly approach them. The others of the pack followed behind the leader. Noctis eyed them for a moment, slowly pushing Prompto back so Prompto was behind Noct

prompto froze for a moment before hesitating. he pulled him back towards the fire, frowning. “gládio!” he called, trying to wake the other male up. “there’s a pack of dogs!”

Noct glanced back at Prompto before eyeing the animals.

Gladio had woken up after a moment. He then quickly left the tent. “What’s going on?” Gladio asked. He frowned, looking over as he spotted the wild animals drawing closer to them and attempting to circle the camp. Gladio frowned. “Alright. Prompto, Noct. Stay back.” Gladio said. He then summoned his sword before approaching the animals. They seemed to circle around him before lunging at him. Gladio seemed to have very little trouble blocking them and fighting them off.

Noct stayed close to Prompto in case one decided to attack them. After a moment, two broke away from attacking Gladio and turned their attention to Noct and Prompto. One suddenly leapt at Noctis. He quickly summoned a sword and quickly slashed at the creature. It helped in pain, attempting to squirm away. Noctis felt a sudden weight knock him down. One had gone around and had jumped onto his back, pushing him down. He froze when he felt it’s claws dig into his shoulder, feeling a warm trail of blood running down from his shoukder. Noctis quickly found his footing and threw the animal off, stabbing it with his sword. The animal then went limp after a moment.

The others seemed to cower away a bit, watching them. They then snarled at the group before turning and taking off, leaving them. Gladio watched them leave before looking back at the others, putting his sword away. “Are you two Alright?” Gladio asked, moving over to them. Noctis had a hand resting over his shoulder.

prompto has simmered his gun just as one of the creatures died, and moved to help noct up. “are.. are you ok?” he asked, and looked up when Ignis walked from the tent. “what the hell is going on?”

Noctis blinked, looking at Prompto. He nodded. “Yes, I’ll be fine Prompto. Just a scratch.” He said. He then looked over when Ignis left the tent. Gladio glanced over at Ignis. “...Just a bit of a skirmish with a pack of wolf animals. Nothing serious.” Noctis murmured.

Ignis frowned moved to noct. “let me see..” he said.
