he nodded slightly, closing his eyes for a moment and wiping his eyes.

[peridot.]

Nines gently wiped at the other's eyes before taking his hands and leading him towards one of the empty interrogation rooms. Gavin was mostly hidden behind him as they went along, but a few people did glance over - that is, until Nines gave them his most icy glare and they quickly went back to their own business. Once they got to the interrogation room, he closed the door and said softly, "Are you alright?"

he mad a soft, whimpers noise, slowly setting the box down on the table and wiping his cheeks.

Nines made a soft worried noise and stepped out for a moment before coming back with a box of tissues. He said softly as he sat down, handing the box over, "I didn't mean to overwhelm you, I'm sorry."

he shook his head and moved to take a tissue so he didn’t get tears all over his shirt, not wanting to ger the sleeves all damp. “it.. it’s not your fault..@ he said softly.

Nines said softly, gently putting his hand on Gavin's arm, "Still, I don't enjoy seeing you cry. I think I far prefer when you smile."

he shook his head and slowly moved to hide in his chest.

Nines made a soft noise of surprise when Gavin his in his chest, but he slowly wrapped his arms around the detective, holding him close.

he sniffed softly. “thank you..” he whispered.

[peridot.]

Nines blinked and said, worry increasing as the other's voice shook, "I'm glad that you like them... Would you like to go somewhere more private?"
