he blinked. "yeah i will. i still have family. if i get kicked out, i'll just get a whooping and then get put into another home." he said and moved to light a cigarette.

He watched him sikentky. “...Is that the life you want? To keep going from home to home beciause you keep getting in trouble?” He asked

he blinked. "well, it gets them to notice me." he said witt a weak smile.

“Vincent...” Alex trailed off, looking him over. “It May get people to notice you. But they’ll only know the you that you let them see. If all you’re known for is being a trouble maker and just a kid who gets moved around all the time, no one is going to take you seriously. You’ll never be able to find a good job because they’ll know you get into trouble. They look at things like that. Your future isn’t going to be very bright if you keep on the way you are now.” Alex said

he sighed. "the only way they notice me is if i'm bad. over tried the good thing, good grades thing. they don't care." he said. "my dad is hardly ever around, and my mom doesn't give a shit.. you know, once i got sick and i called for her, and she sent a maid. and every time after that."

Alex watched him. “...Then don’t do it for them, Vincent. Do it for yourself. This is your life. If you parents don’t want to be a part of it, then fine. That’s their problem. So you know what Vincent? If they just see you as a problem, go out there. Go out there change your life around and prove them wrong. Get a job. Perhaps a small house. Prove to your parents and everyone else that you’re nit just a trouble maker. That you’re not a failure. That you can do whatever you set your mind to.” Alex said
