/It's alright. My internet is spotty at best at my house, so I apologize in advance if/when I disappear like I did this time.

Rowan had frozen in fright at the sight of the soldiers. She kept her head down, trembling in fright. "Tadeas, that was way too close. I need to get back before we actually get caught!" she exclaimed. She was completely terrified now, and there was no hiding it. "Please Tadeas," she whimpered.

tadeas was on the verge of reassuring her again. "trust me! it'll be fine! don't worry!" but one look at her face made him groan in defeat. "god, okay!" he wasn't going to force her if she looked like she was going to cry.

"let's go."

"hey! wait!" a man bolted across the clearing and stepped on the back of his cloak. tadeas' whole disguise ripped off, leaving him exposed for the world to see.

"..your highness?" a storeowner gawked. "what.." he paused, then pointed to rowan. "who is she?"

/I'm going to try to be more active. Promise!

Rowan was already backing away, trembling. She did not get far. Two guards came up, grabbing her from behind. She yelped in surprise and began to struggle. It was no good. One of them ripped off the hat, revealing who she truly was for everyone to see. All had seen her face on wanted posters around the town, just like they had her father. Rowan Hood, daughter of Robin Hood.

"run. RUN!" tadeas grabbed her hand and bolted in the first direction he saw.
"stop! it's her!" he could hear the voices grow fainter, but knew that they'd be on their tail in no time. they had..horses. horses!
tadeas pulled rowan behind a corner. "hey, listen. we need to get horses. i know a shortcut to the woods and we..probably won't get caught. i used the same one to visit you before." he ran his hands through his hair, then squeezed his eyes shut.

[i]so much for a fun day out.

"there's horses..around here. you just have to trust me, okay?"

/Lol. I can understand that.

Rowan had never been more terrified in her life. Yes, she had been chased by guards and the like before, but never without her father nearby. He would force her to get away herself, but he would always be ready to save her if she couldn't. She had never longed for him as badly as she did at this moment.

Rowan looked at Tadeas as he began rambling about finding horses. They did not have time to find horses. They needed to run. "Tadeas, I-" her words got cut short as an arrow whizzed past them. Rowan ducked down out of pure instinct. This day was going from bad to worse.

"listen. listen!" tadeas gripped her shoulders and tried to meet her gaze. "deep breaths, okay? we're good here..i think." he couldn't help the tremor in his voice. he hadn't gotten into a situation like this before, and he was beginning to realize that it might have all been his fault, after all. he was in danger, rowan was in even more danger..great going, on his part.

"you're right. no time for the horses. we just have to run." he nodded, mostly to himself. "and we'll get there, okay? i know a place. they'll never find you again. i promise."

/Honestly, I'm not sure. Part of me does, but the other part of me wants Robin Hood to maybe rescue them and they have to face him (which can be just as bad if not worse)

Rowan meets Tadeas's gaze, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. "I need to get home now, Tadeas. I should have never come here." Her voice was trembling as she spoke. She glanced around quickly, trying to find a way to run. There was no escape path. Buildings blocked one side and the guards who were chasing them blocked the other. Rowan could not stop shaking. She had never been so afraid. This truly seemed like the end.

"you!" a figure leaped down before them, practically having appeared out of no where. they scooped the two of them up, signaled above their head, and pulled the two out of the alley.

tadeas already had a feeling who it was, which is why he planned on bolting as soon as they reached the ground. but the mysterious figure had other plans.

"you running away with my daughter..behind my back?" robin hood took off his mask and grabbed hold of tadeas' collar.

"Dad!" Rowan cried. She tried to step towards him, but Wolf held her back. They both knew it was futile to try to talk sense into the man when he was like this. However, Rowan refused to allow Tadeas to take the punishment for her mistake. This was her fault, not his.

"Dad, please, it's nothing like that," Rowan said quickly. She gulped and glanced at Tadeas, meeting his gaze, before looking back at Robin Hood. She knew her next words were going to get her killed, but she no longer cared. "I asked Tadeas to take me into the village because I was curious. He was only doing what I asked him to do!" It was not a total lie, but it was not the total truth either. Wolf glanced between his little sister and his father. Rowan was in for it now.

tadeas was paralyzed with fear. there was no way he was getting out of this alive. "sir, i-"

just then, rowan decided to step in for him. he watched her with awe, then turned back to her father, nodding furiously. "i shouldn't have done it. but..please don't punish rowan. she didn't do anything. i got carried away." he gulped, then, thinking quickly, fell to robin hood's feet. "don't punish her, please, please! i should've left when she said we should. i'm so-"

the man grabbed his shoulders and pulled tadeas back into a standing position. "i wasn't planning to." robin hood growled, looking down at his daughter.

"go," he ordered, eyes still on rowan. "but if i see you with her again, i cannot promise that i will be so considerate."
