she smiled. “i had a kitten before the sick showed up.. i named her gato which is just.. cat in spanish. it’s the only word i knew besides hola or how to count to ten.” she said and smiled. “which is sad, considering latina.” she said and harley hummed. “from what i heard from liana, her mom was pretty.. racist, i guess, yet married a hispanic man.”

Wade smiled sadly and said sympathetically, "That sucks. I don't know any Spanish myself, but... Maybe we could find some books or something."

she smiled. “dad tries to
teach me as much as he can but it doesn’t stick long. i’m better with french.” she giggled softly.

[peridot.]

He blinked and said, shrugging as he smiled, "I've only ever learned English. I took a German class back in high school, but I barely scraped by with a passing grade."

she giggled and smiled. “the middle school teaches us french.” she said and sighed. “well.. did.”

He smiled weakly and said, nodding, "Yeah, well... Hopefully you'll be able to learn more French at some point."

she smiled. “you should rest. you look tired.”

[peridot.]

He said softly, seeming skittish, "Uhm... Is it safe for me to sleep...?"

she smiled. “not really. he screams like a girl~” she joked and giggled softly. “have you ever gotten to take care of a horse?” she asked.

[peridot.]

He smiled and said, laughing softly, "A couple of times, but not very often. I didn't deal with farm animals much."
