( maybe the plan to kill Brendol works and this is when Snoke steps in and fucks up Hux's memories bc he can tell that Hux was going to suggest leaving since he didn't have his Dad's pressure hovering over him anymore?? )

It had taken a while - almost four months - for their plan to kill Brendol to actually work, but in the end it had, and Armi was sort of still stunned. His Father had been killed without anything tracing it back to them, and he felt like he had an enormous weight off of his shoulders. As soon as they got back onto the Finalizer, he had pulled Kylo to his room, moving to kiss him deeply and gleefully, "I love you. I know it's still early but fuck, I love you, I really do. You actually helped stop him. You stopped that bastard..." He was about to lean in for another kiss, when all of a sudden he seemed to pause, his eyes gaining a glazed over and far away look as he fell silent. From behind him, the door opened and none other than Snoke stepped in, one hand raised and obviously making Hux zone out. He said in his rough voice, a frown on his scarred features, "You have been busy, haven't you Kylo?"

kylo was very much proud of themselves. he had been about to respond, tell hux he loved him back, but smoke walked in. he felt dread built in his chest and he hesitated. “uh.. yes, sur..” he said softly.

Snoke made a gesture with his hand, and Hux collapsed into Kylo's chest, having been knocked out with the force. Snoke said once the other was asleep, huffing, "Armitage is starting to have thoughts of betraying the First Order. Running away with you. Going away to the Resistance. We can't be having that." Shaking his head, he sighed, "I originally thought that the relationship between the two of you would benefit the Order, but obviously its done the opposite. So I'm going to wipe his memory of you two ever being together."

his eyes widened. “no! no, please, i won’t let him go!” he said, holding onto hux tightly.

He smiled and said, yawning a bit, "You're so sweet... Now I'm pretty sleepy.."
