Jesse watched as Gabe left before looking down. Jack frowned, looking at Jesse. “Really kid? Even if you’re brain washed surely you still remember how much the commander cares about you.” Jack said. Jesse stayed silent. Jack sighed. “Fine. Have it your way.” Jack said. He then turned, heading off to go find Gabe.

Jesse watched as they left. He felt tears pricking in his eyes but he didn’t let them fall. He just threw the bottle he was holding at the wall and then leaned back against the wall, releasing a shaky breath.

Gabe was really trying to hold back tears, so when he got back to the drop ship, he just started punching one of the palens above the seats until it was bent and just dropped off. he sank into a seat and sniffed, wiping his tears before they actually fell.

After a few minutes, Jack entered the dropship. He glanced over, seeing Gabe and a broken panel. He sighed, slowly moving over to Gabe. He rested a hand on his back lightly.

he sniffed, putting a hand over his eyes to hide the tears. “god, why can’t these ducking kids just listen for once?”

He sighed, slowly rubbing his back. “Well Gabe He’s been in a gang practically his whole life. I can’t imagine his life at home was any better. He’s probably just scared and confused right now. He just got brainwashed. He’s scared of hurting us. Then you add that family affection on top of that that he isn’t used to and doesn’t know how to react, we probably did scare him a bit.” Jack whispered

he hissed. “that family betrayed him, jack!”

He sighed. “I know Gabe.” He whisoered quietky. He continued rubbing his back. He jumped however when he heard a gunshot. He frowned, tensing up. “Oh god...” Jack trailed off, moving outside and back to the last place they found Jesse.

Jesse sat down on the floor, his knees curled to his chest. He had a gun held in his hand. Jack looked him over, seeing a bullet hole was on the wall next to him. Jesse was shaking as he fought back tears. Jack frowned.

“Jesse...Hey, hey it’s okay kid. Lower the gun.” Jack whispered. Jesse sniffed, setting the gun down beside him

gave had looked up and shot to his feet when he heard it, rushing off to find jesse. he moved over quickly and took the gun, tossing it away after emptying the chamber of bullets.he moved to look over jesse, eyes wide.

Jack glanced down at Jesse. A faint whimper escaped Jesse. He seemed to curl up more into himself. Jack frowned, watching him. Jesse shook, tears falling down his cheeks.

he hushed him and gently pulled him into his chest. “hey, hey, it’s ok..” he whispered.
