He always seemed to want to be the very first to greet her upon her arrival, an enthusiasm which she could only praise him for. After all, it felt good to be wanted. To be desired. And, Amadeus knew exactly how to make the simpering woman feel like the most important person in the world.
He ought to make everyone feel this way, however - Mollie wasn’t actually special - but it felt good in the moment to feel coveted. With arms outspread openly, he picked her up in his arms and spun her around. Mollie’s shoulders shook with mirth, a puckish grin riddling her parted lips. ❝ Sunshine, you're here! You're back, finally. ❞ ❝ You know I’d ever stray too far from here. ❞ She purred playfully, a soft giggle passing her lips as Amadeus lowered her and buried his face into the crook of her neck.
She wrapped her arms around him to hold him closer in that moment, hands only sliding away once he pulled away from their embrace. He asked her about the trip which, honestly, was uneventful at best. But, of course, Mollie could talk for an entire nation, even if the contents were shallow. This time, however, she would choose to avoid the topic entirely. Why? Well, she was highly selective, a quality that seemed prevalent in her nature. If she had to talk about herself, she’d rather not; it was a notable habit of hers. ❝ Oh, don’t get me started on that trip- ❞ She began, brows raising as she gazed across at him.
Lips curled downwards into a slight pout, playful, before raising her hand to caress his cheek with the pad of her thumb. She’d move the conversation on effortlessly, twist it back onto her Amadeus. She leaned in, pecking the softest of kisses by the corner of his lips before turning and walking back towards Jimmy. ❝ Don’t tell me that I’ve missed too much since the last time I visited. ❞ She began expectantly, removing the saddlebag from Jimmy’s tack and dropping the heavy luggage onto the ground before Mitchell’s question caught her attention.
She’d seen the man around, even tried to speak to him on many occasions, and yet she did not even know his name. Whilst she could be likened to as a natural disaster, this man was mellow. Subtle. Like a cloudy day; mild and subdued. Perhaps it was what made her somewhat uncertain in his presence. She wanted to know people, so how could she get to know him? The very last thing she’d ever want would be to scare him away - she could acknowledge that her vibrance was too overbearing at the best of times.
He was asking about Jimmy, Mollie patting the side of the mule’s neck as she responded, ❝ Yeah, definitely. Are you offering? ❞ She glanced over her shoulder at Mitchell, quirking a hopeful brow.
