SOMEONE'S DEVOTION || VISITOR , O . - MOLLIE. - 02-05-2020

It was difficult to ascertain the significance of such stature - whether it was an impressive reputation or one which made people wary of her fervid presence - but Mollie felt confident in herself that, regardless of people’s preconceived notions, her name was ultimately one etched into the backs of many minds. She liked to believe that it was a greater feat to have a bad reputation than no reputation at all, and so she lived by that belief every day of her life.

Jimmy was slow and fumbling as the bay mule trudged along, Mollie’s eyes squinting ever-so-slightly as they neared the familiar territory. The Cult of Dionysus, also known as her very own little haven away from home, or whatever home was for the time being. A visit would always have her yearning for the fleeting intimacy and closeness she would always find waiting for her. With lovers and friends alike, Mollie knew that she would always feel at home whenever she came to visit.

They were welcoming and kind, understanding of her desire to come and go as she pleased. Like a feline, coy and autonomous. One could hold her, touch her, kiss her, but she was never anyone’s to keep. Mollie had been this way for as long as she could remember; fiercely independent and self-reliant. As much as she adored the people here, she knew that in order to feel the most herself, her time spent here had to be only temporary.

Besides, it made the trips to Dionysus all the more enthralling.

Upon reaching the ruins of the city, Mollie dismounted Jimmy, patting her neck briefly. She knew well that it would only be time before she was greeted with the utmost display of tenderness and so, with a curious gleam in her eyes, she finally straightened up, tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and held onto Jimmy's reins as she wandered further into the city.

speaking of mollie . . .  a little birdie told him that she would be here , and it seemed they were right .  hurrying down the path to the entrance to the city , a smile on his face and his arms outstretched ready to wrap the woman in a close embrace .  when he was finally in front of her he let out a laugh of joy , picking her up and spinning her around in his arms .  ❝ sunshine , you're here !  you're back , finally . ❞ deus breathed , setting her down and burying his face into the crook of her neck .  and that's how he stood for a while , just taking in her scent and her presence before pulling away .  a soft expression settled on the anax's face as he tucked a strand of hair behind mollie's ear .  ❝ how was the trip , doll ?

Re: SOMEONE'S DEVOTION || VISITOR , O . - MITCHELL. - 02-05-2020

[align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; color: #494949; font-family: karla; font-size: 8pt; letter-spacing: 0.2px; word-spacing: 1px; margin-top: 10px;"]mitchell thompson , unlike mollie hawthorne , had always been invisible.

not as if he minded much ; he much preferred it that way. when he thought of reputations , he thought notice , attention , two words in which mitchell didn't care to associate himself with. not as if it was any of his business , although if he cared enough he'd ask , but he didn't quite understand those who so desperately craved legacy. after fifty or a hundred years if one was lucky, no one would remember you. if you were lucky , stories of your existence would be recounted by the next generations — but who would be alive to care ? if he had reputation , he had no clue . and he'd rather keep it that way , a tad fearful of what connotations would be held with his name ; weirdo? something of that sorts.

mollie hawthorne; he knew her , except not really. knew her name , obviously , and knew that amadeus seemed to have taken to her ( although that was hard to differentiate from everyone else. he seemingly showed affection to everyone who lived and breathed ). he also knew that , while she was here some days — attending meetings , integrating into the group as if almost second nature — she was gone the next. her absence was notable because it seemed as if mollie was a person who demanded recognition whether it affects him or not , he takes notice. some say she is apart of another group and if that's true , then amadeus was naivè. not everyone who walked this territory had good intentions and even if mitchell failed to recognize that in his own right , wendy forced him to watch enough drama to know that scenarios like this could lead to betrayal. but what did mitchell know ? all in all , mollie does seem nice so he has no other choice but to trust amadeus's intentions.

"does she need stabilized?" the question isn't towards mollie, but rather her mule. as far as plants go , his love for animals came to a second . contrary to popular belief , medicine wasn't particularly something he loved , just something he happened to know. animals , though. they were without judgement. he could spill his guts without worry that it'd be recounted or judged. so, of course the first question he'd raise was towards the animal; he didn't even look at mollie or amadeus , not really. this gave him a proper reason to excuse himself.

He always seemed to want to be the very first to greet her upon her arrival, an enthusiasm which she could only praise him for. After all, it felt good to be wanted. To be desired. And, Amadeus knew exactly how to make the simpering woman feel like the most important person in the world.

He ought to make everyone feel this way, however - Mollie wasn’t actually special - but it felt good in the moment to feel coveted. With arms outspread openly, he picked her up in his arms and spun her around. Mollie’s shoulders shook with mirth, a puckish grin riddling her parted lips. ❝ Sunshine, you're here!  You're back, finally. ❞ ❝ You know I’d ever stray too far from here. ❞ She purred playfully, a soft giggle passing her lips as Amadeus lowered her and buried his face into the crook of her neck.

She wrapped her arms around him to hold him closer in that moment, hands only sliding away once he pulled away from their embrace. He asked her about the trip which, honestly, was uneventful at best. But, of course, Mollie could talk for an entire nation, even if the contents were shallow. This time, however, she would choose to avoid the topic entirely. Why? Well, she was highly selective, a quality that seemed prevalent in her nature. If she had to talk about herself, she’d rather not; it was a notable habit of hers. ❝ Oh, don’t get me started on that trip- ❞ She began, brows raising as she gazed across at him.

Lips curled downwards into a slight pout, playful, before raising her hand to caress his cheek with the pad of her thumb. She’d move the conversation on effortlessly, twist it back onto her Amadeus. She leaned in, pecking the softest of kisses by the corner of his lips before turning and walking back towards Jimmy. ❝ Don’t tell me that I’ve missed too much since the last time I visited. ❞ She began expectantly, removing the saddlebag from Jimmy’s tack and dropping the heavy luggage onto the ground before Mitchell’s question caught her attention.

She’d seen the man around, even tried to speak to him on many occasions, and yet she did not even know his name. Whilst she could be likened to as a natural disaster, this man was mellow. Subtle. Like a cloudy day; mild and subdued. Perhaps it was what made her somewhat uncertain in his presence. She wanted to know people, so how could she get to know him? The very last thing she’d ever want would be to scare him away - she could acknowledge that her vibrance was too overbearing at the best of times.

He was asking about Jimmy, Mollie patting the side of the mule’s neck as she responded, ❝ Yeah, definitely. Are you offering? ❞ She glanced over her shoulder at Mitchell, quirking a hopeful brow.
