A SUNSHINY DAY -- combat training

A boy so limber and lanky, minimal body fat covering his body and legs which much resembled the frailty of a grasshopper’s. In fact, it was partly true; his punches didn’t pack much power, but he didn’t need a strong punch if he had a knife. Specifically a fishing knife with a serrated edge - the serrations helped to bite into the flesh and work through the fibres swiftly, which was why he adored it so much. He could probably do with some more training on other weapons, as much as he hated to admit it, but Sheogorath and Mike could probably teach Ellis a thing or two. After all, Ellis enjoyed weapons. He enjoyed the power in them, what they could do to people. What he could do to people.

He folded his arms across his chest and he listened to Sheo’s introduction and then eyes turned as Mike began to bark. Ellis squinted his eyes in the sun, convinced that the older man was limping. Was he injured? He could remember there was some commotion the other day from an invading group. But Ellis couldn’t help but scoff under his breath. He was teaching them how to fight? Perhaps Mike needed to take his own advice some day.
