The textbook definition of smugness riddled across William’s features as he popped his head up, straightening his once arched back whilst he cupped a snowball in his hand. Ready to catch Eddie off guard. The two brothers were inseparable; you’d never see one without the other, and so it was no surprise to see that William had very swiftly involved himself in whatever risky business this was. Clamped jaw, William bared his teeth in a feigned grimace - as if he nearly sympathized with his cousin as Eddie was pelted with a snowball from Freddie. Well, in William’s defense, this could’ve been a whole lot less humiliating for Eddie if he just had a sense of humor for once in his life - if laughter was deadly then this bastard would be immortal.
William finally threw a snowball at Edmund, as if that could knock some sense or personality into the grumbling Captain. If this was their idea of respecting authority, then Eddie was a tolerant man - Will had to give it to him for that much. ❝ Nice shot. ❞ William subtly wagged his brows at Freddie before looking at Eddie once the Captain turned to look at him. His first thoughts were the blame a bad throw - perhaps he was aiming for Freddie and yet Ed managed to step in the way - but nothing William did was ever faulty. So, instead, he was prideful as he pointed out, ❝ Lighten up, Boss! It’s just some fun- ❞ Whilst he spoke, he began to form another snowball - this one would be his coverup story. These snowballs were evidently directed towards Freddie, right?
Well - not quite. That wouldn’t be as fun. Besides, oh was Eddie fuming; a sight for sore eyes, that was for sure. William dusted off his coat which was so notably free of snow, the silent declaration that he seemed to be immune from any snowballs. Well, rightly so - Will wasn’t being the little shit, that role was exclusively Freddie’s in Ed’s eyes. William was the modest big brother, the man who could do no harm. He was suave and personable, easy-going with one hell of a charm. As pure as the white snow he began to pat into a firm snowball before he raised his head to see as Eddie threw a snowball at Freddie. ❝ Yaaay- ❞ William uttered beneath his breath - it was about time Eddie grew a sense of humor.
❝ Avenge me, Will! ❞ William huffed a breath of laughter; Freddie didn’t need to ask him twice. With the snowball he’d prepared in advance, he threw it at Eddie before reaching to throw another. And, another. And, another until Ed had no choice but to cover his face, pelted from both angles with snow. ❝ Fuckin’ stop! ❞ Eddie snapped, William cackling to himself heedlessly as he threw more snowballs at his cousin. ❝ I’m… dreaming. Of a White. Christmas- ❞ William began to sing carelessly until Eddie began to trudge away. ❝ What’s wrong, Boss? ❞ Ed looked up at the two brothers with an icy stare, William pulling his lips downwards in ❛ surprise ❜ before pointing out teasingly, ❝ You weren’t throwing any snowballs. ❞
❝ Yeah, because I’m not acting like a fucking child. ❞ Ed growled, pointer finger wagging at the two brothers before adding, ❝ You act like a child, I treat you like a child. The both of you are getting extra chores this week. ❞ Eddie frowned before walking away, William curling his lip before looking towards his little brother, lazily gesturing towards the Captain. ❝ He’s the one having a temper tantrum though, amirite? ❞
