He blinked. "Probably afternoon sometime." He said. Gladio looked over from the corner of the room.

"Who are you meeting with?" Gladio asked. Noctis looked over at him.

"Someone from Nephlhiem.. They wanted to propose some form of peace treaty." Noctis murmured. Gladio frowned, watching him.

"You can't be serious. No one from the empire can be trusted Noctis. Why do you think we still have people out fighting this damn war outside the walls? Any talk of peace is only going to be a trick from them." Gladio said.

"Well we have to try something Gladio. I'm well aware it could be a trap. But we can't keep pushing back this issue. If they want to talk, I'm here. This war needs to end. We can't keep sending out soldiers to fight an endless war. From both cities. I will listen to reason. I'll hear them out. It's time peace came between our two kingdoms anyway. It's gone on for long enough and the reason we started fighting in the first place had passed years ago." Noctis said, watching Gladio.

"It is one person, Ignis. I understand why you're concerned or hesitant about this. But they will be coming here. Alone and unarmed. Those were the terms for this meeting. And I won't be alone in that room. If the person tries anything they'll wish they hadn't." Noctis said.

he frowned. “no, noct. you can’t meet with them. it’s a horrible idea.”

Noctis sighed. He then squeezed Ignis's hand gently. "Ignis this is why I didn't want you stressing out. I knew you'd get protective like this. And I do appreciate it, Iggy. But I can't be sheltered forever. It may be a horrible idea. But I'm doing this for the people here and for those soldiers still alive and out fighting. I'm looking to end this war, Ignis. It's pointless. And it was either the person came here or I travelled to the empire alone. I figured this would be sit better with you and Gladio then me taking off alone into enemy territory." He said. "Now relax Ignis. Everything will be alright." He murmured.
