It was a bit later on the next morning. The others were already up and about. Rick had woken up earlier and was now talking to a few others. Carl had gotten up and Rick explained to him who had made the small figurine. Carl already loved it.  He glanced around the camp, trying t find Daryl to thank him.

daryl was in the woods, getting in a quick hunt before they left again. he returned a while after with a few squirrels on his rope, cleaning off his crossbow bolts quietly.

After a bit, Carl spotted daryl. He smiked, moving over to him. “Daryl?” He asked quietky

daryl looked over and blinked. "hey, kid." he said and ruffled his hair gently. "hungry?"

He blinekd, wtsching him. “No. I’m alright. I just wanted to come and say thank you for the wooden toy you made for me last night.” He said

he blinked and nodded. "you're welcome. i had one like it as a kid, got me through a lot of shit." he said. "would have painted it, but theres no paint in this damned place and no such thing as berries that make green pulp." he stated.

He smiked. “Well, I think it’s amazing the way it is. I’ll be sure to take care of it.” He said

he smiled slightly. "you do that, kid." he said and moved off so go set the squirrels up to skin.

Carl nodded. He then moved off to help the others with a few chores. Rick had just finished up on some repairs
