GIVE ME CREDIT WHERE ITS DUE / private - dannychan - 06-08-2018 [member=722]Leafwing12[/member] /triggers: death, mental illness, alcohol, smoking daryl wasn’t doing great. his brother was still missing, and he was 99% sure that everyone at the camp hated him.. so he was planning to leave, but there was something nagging him about leaving so many innocent people to just.. die. he was their hunter, their tracker.. they couldn’t just live off of fish and berries. he sighed as he sat by one of the fires- alone, quietly widdling at a chunk of wood, staring into the flames almost lay blankly. Re: GIVE ME CREDIT WHERE ITS DUE / private - Leafwing12 - 06-08-2018 The group hadn't been doing well. They weren't terribly off, but they weren't thriving either. Daryl helped with food. Carol...Well, she was still broken by her daughter's death and something seemed to have snapped in her. Lori...God, he loved that woman, but she seemed distant and cold from him. And Carl was doing the best he could. He didn't do much, but he did help around the camp when asked. He mostly helped Maggie take care of her family or helped Shane out with chores. He and Shane were at odds every single day now so that wasn't helping matters. Rick sighed, looking over at the group from where he was stationed. He was away from the others, peering over them before looking away. He was keeping watch while the others ate and slept. He noticed Daryl was away from the others as well. He wanted to go speak to him since he knew Daryl was taking his brother's disappearance rather harshly, but he didn't want to go off of watch in case something happened. Carl seemed to notice his father's predicament. He stood up, his gaze landing on Daryl. The younger boy moved over to Daryl. He stopped by him, but still gave a few feet of personal space for the other. "Why don't you join the others Daryl?" Carl asked softly. Re: GIVE ME CREDIT WHERE ITS DUE / private - dannychan - 06-08-2018 daryl looked up and frowned softly. “got a head ache. don’t want to be a downer.†it wasn’t a lie- he did have a headache. just not the kind the other would think. “why don’t you got get some sleep, kid? wouldn’t want you tired on the way out tomorrow.†he sighed. Re: GIVE ME CREDIT WHERE ITS DUE / private - Leafwing12 - 06-08-2018 He shrugged. "I haven't been sleeping much as it is." He said. He looked him over. He tilted his head. "...You don't have to feel outcast, Daryl. You're part of this small family now." Carl said. He then offered a faint smile. "Come join us and get some food. They're telling some interesting stories over there." Carl murmured. He then moved off to the rest of the group. Re: GIVE ME CREDIT WHERE ITS DUE / private - dannychan - 06-08-2018 he sighed and shook his head. “tomorrow, kid.†he said and ruffled hair gently. Re: GIVE ME CREDIT WHERE ITS DUE / private - Leafwing12 - 06-08-2018 Carl gave a faint nod before heading off. After a bit, Rick moved over. "Sorry about that Daryl. Was Carl bothering you?" Rick asked. Re: GIVE ME CREDIT WHERE ITS DUE / private - dannychan - 06-08-2018 he shook his head. “he’s a good kid.†he said and sighed. “hearts in the right place.†he mumbled and took out a smaller knife. Re: GIVE ME CREDIT WHERE ITS DUE / private - Leafwing12 - 06-08-2018 He blinked. "Yeah, but one day that may get him in trouble." He said. He then looked Daryl over. "Are you doing alright?" he asked Re: GIVE ME CREDIT WHERE ITS DUE / private - dannychan - 06-08-2018 he grunted softly. “sometimes heart is better than brains.†he mutter. “people remember heart.†he tapped his own chest with the point of the knife, right over his head. Re: GIVE ME CREDIT WHERE ITS DUE / private - Leafwing12 - 06-08-2018 He sighed, watching him. "...I know Merle has been gone for a while. But if you wish, we can continue to help you look for him."
