Adam smiled nervously and Newt gently kissed Salem on the cheek before saying softly, "I guess I'll see you in a bit. My Dad put the hotel address on the list."

Adam blinked and rose an eyebrow at the two, but Newt just said he would talk more about it later. He then followed his Dad out, humming.

It was later on, and Newt was curled up in one of the chairs of the hotel room, a book sitting on his lap as he read quietly. His Father was watching TV and scrolling through things on his phone, seeming very stressed still. Newt looked up when there was a knock on the door, and he got to his feet, peering through the peephole and smiling when he saw Salem. He opened the door, saying softly, "Hey."
