Pretty much everyone had gone to the party last night. Reiner and Bertholdt had thrown a huge party and invited pretty much everyone. It wasn’t a shock that everyone was slower and more tired today during classes. Even Jean was. What was surprising is that Armin hadn’t showed up to any classes. That kid never skipped, even when he felt sick.

Eren and Mikasa were worried about Armin too, but they couldn’t go check on him since they were busy after their classes. So, Jean had decided to go visit Armin’s apartment and check on him.

Once there, Jean moved to the door, knocking on it. He waited a while, but frowned when no one answered. He glanced down, trying the door. It was unlocked. He hesitated before entering the apartment, closing the door behind him. He glanced around silently. “Armin?” Jean called out

armins apartment was incredibly small- it was a studio apartment, where it was all just one big room and then a bathroom. his bed was a complete mess, which was odd, and it didn't look like he had actually had breakfast, which was even more odd. there were no dirty clothes in the basket in the corner, but there was the sound of the shower running, and soft sobbing coming from inside. he wasn't actually in the shower, he was sat on the shower mat just outside, letting the bathroom fill with steam and hope that the water drowned out the sound of his sobs.

Jean frowned at the sight of the apartment. He started moving about, examining the room. He stopped however when he heard the shower running. Was Armin in the shower? He listened more closely only to hear the faint sounds of someone crying. Jean froze.

He slowly made his way into the bathroom, peering in. His gaze landed on Armin. “Armin?” He askes, looking him over. He moved over, kneeling down in front of the other

he jumped and slammed his foot right into jeans face, scrambling closer to the wall and tub, eyes huge and horrified. "d-d-don't touch m-me!"

Jean flinched suddenly, scooting back at Armin’s sudden reaction. He was about to say something but stopped. He looked Armin over. He held up his hands, showing Armin he wasn’t going to come closer. “Okay, Okay...It’s Alright Armin. I won’t touch you.” Jean said. What the hell had Armin this jumpy? Sure the kid was always a bit timid but this...Wasn’t normal

he whimpered, covering his mouth. "oh god, i-i-i'm so s-sorry jean!" he said through his sobs. "i-i didn't rr-realise it w-w-was.."

Jean shushed him softky. “Hey, hey it’s okay Armin.” He nurmjred. He stayed still though so he didn’t startle Armin anymore. “What’s wrong, Armin? What happened to make you this jumpy?” He asked

he stared at him before making a high pitched noise and then began to sob worse than before.

Jean froze. Okay...not the best question to ask. Jean looked him over. He was t really sure on how to help him. “Hey...Armin, It’s okay. I’m here. I’m not going to let anything happen to you.” Jean said, hoping to comfort him a bitz

he shook his head, curling up tighter than he had been and shifting like it was painful to sit that way.
