the serval slowly walked on the path, head turning left and right to let his lone eye remember the territory around him. it's been awhile since he was near any type of body of water. as a child, sharkbait would wake up every morning to see the water lap at the side of the sand on the beach he lived on. everyday he would wake his mother up, large smile barely containing his excitement. his mother would only roll her eyes and push him gently to the ground again, telling him to go to sleep. but how could he, when there was a world to be discovered out in the ocean blue?

though of course, that was almost a lifetime ago. back when he still had two eyes. back when his life consisted of sleeping, eating, and watching the fish swim around. now, he was... a new him. a new him trying to find a new home. as sharkbait returned his attention to the path, he remembered the words his mother softly told them all those months ago. his father had been a riverclanner, but left to be a loner for no specific reason. sharkbait knew in his mind that nobody would remember his quiet father, but now he had an idea of where his new home could be started at.

he was still unaccustomed to the idea of 'clans' and 'borders', so he would have most likely passed a border already. but he didn't know, and certainly would hate that he didn't respect that. but something made him slow down to a smooth walking pace, and he just rolled with it. "hello? um, i'm sharkbait, and i'm wondering if anyone is around? i wanna join riverclan... if this is riverclan. is... did i get the wrong directions?"

[align=center][div style="0px; width:400px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height:13px;"]sharkbait? that was an interesting name. floralghost remembered a name like that back when he still lived with humans, somewhere in the back of his mind. the kids had kept talking about it, talking about some kind of bright.. floral couldn't remember. must've been a nice name, though. it was peaceful, in a sense. floral couldn't describe it at the moment, but eventually he'd figure it out, he was sure. alright, back to the newcomer. a stripey-spotted cat, something that interested floral. he liked servals, he liked the way the patterns waved through his mind.

"this is riverclan alright, you got the right place. it's not that hard, we're kinda the only clan that lives in a mud puddle." chuckling slightly and striding towards the cat, floral flicked his tail at sharkbait. "i'm floralghost, nice to meet you. you're more than certainly allowed to join, it's good to see joiners." there was something energetic about this other cat that floral was intrigued by, something that seemed both exhausting and interesting at the same time.

"sharkbait, huh? i hope that wasn't based off a real life experience." narrowing his eyes in a concerned manner, floral gestured with a paw as he started towards the riverclan camp, inviting sharkbait to join him.
