in that time, though, he also stumbled across a stray dachshund who had for some reason taking a liking to him. he was getting annoyed, but he knew better than to just leave the dog on its own. so for the last few days, leonard made sure to give the small dog water and food. it became a routine for him, something he actually looked forward to. And, while he didn't fully believe in that bunch of hub-bub, he couldn't help but wonder if it was his wife trying to look after him by giving him a friend. she always did say he needed to be more social.
leonard took a seat on a bunch, dog treats in his hand and looking down at his new friend. "alright, hot dog. can you sit?" he commanded with his right eyebrow raised. at his word, hot dog's head tilted to the side curiously and he took a seat. a small smile actually appeared on leonard's face and he awarded hot dog with a treat.
"good boy."
