First, it would be the livestock — next, maybe it’d be a human being.
Upon hearing Richard talking into the walkie-talkie, Eddie lowered his head with a stressed sigh. He didn’t need to know the intricacies of what had happened to know that it was something
bad. After confirming that he was on his way, Eddie set off with Tom and Alfie to trek down to the caribou pen, brows knitting together as he neared Richard. Tom clicked his tongue sharply at the sight of the deceased animal, shaking his head before looking out towards the treeline.

This wasn’t good. These caribou were
extremely valuable to Flintlock Lodge; losing one would be highly detrimental to the group.
