so freddie was raised alongside his brother william and all the other stirlings and stirling-morays. growing up he always enjoyed the idea of being ruler of everything and often bossed people around whenever they played games - which didn't make him particularly popular, but he didn't really care. he also grew up idolizing the mob boss, alfred, to a point where he wanted to always demonstrate that he was a perfect stirling. he was never visibly alfred's favorite, but fred still holds the man on a high pedestal long after he's gone - something nobody else does because alfred was clearly a terrible person. but freddie is a horrible person too so. i digress.

personality-wise, freddie is visibly confident and cocky, very full of himself whenever he's around his family. mainly it's because he knows he's good-looking, and he isn't afraid to use it to his advantage. around people that aren't his family, though, he's a little bit softer around the edges and appears kinder. after all, it's easier to play the stirling that's a little bit Softer around the edges than to visibly be one of the brutish/rude ones. allowing people to trust him a bit more for being such an "open book" when he actually is hiding a lot more beneath the surface about who he is as a person. he's dangerous and can be downright cruel in a fight, though most flintlocker's wouldn't really know exactly what's hiding underneath.
overall he's comical, confident, and absolutely full of it but i still love him anyway
