yeah, hoot! they address that, saying anyone with medicial things would go first, but i never even thought about the vaccines. but that would definitely make this first gen of tnw babies, ones born right after the blackout, would be at a huge disadvantage because it wouldn't have the time for "survival of the fittest" and immunity to become the dominant trait.

& i found it most interesting that the ones who experienced it, just woke up one day and nothing really worked and they didn't know what happened for a long time, ya know? it's a little different in tnw, but just that whole idea sends me spiraling lmdnd

so, i listened to this awhile ago and just realized how much it connects with the idea of tnw and i sent it to a couple people and they thought it was interesting so i wanted to share it here as well!

it’s a jenna & julien podcast about emps and what an attack like that would look like in america specifically. and while tnw began with a virus and not an emp attack, i still think it’s relevant and interesting to understand how this all came about, especially if people are roleplaying characters who lived through the shut down.

it’s the first topic on the podcast, they change topic around 21 minutes and the beginning is some ads, so it isn’t too long of a listen/watch(you can also find it on any podcast app if you prefer that lol).

you've already sent it to me and i've watched it through, and can i say that it is such an interesting podcast to listen to. it really puts tnw into perspective, especially once realising the massive death toll an emps attack would cause.
