ohh yeah! that could be interesting, having will being there as well. finny and i talked about her and seb agreeing to go to bp together so that seb won't try to tell max to tell joey to behind and she wont try to tell max to make seb stay. and i feel like that could be a funny trio, along with whoever else attempts it. and forcing woey to work together for it.
for bowie,
i decided to make him go into the caregiving rank since there arent many ocs there and its where i think i can see him most. and would make sense for maxen progression. however, he can still help before leaving and tensions could rise between him and eddie. but i can see him and green getting along well while he's in nd??

also, just bringing back up the idea of eddie pinning the murder of aiden onto bp

As for Bowie... this is going to be so exciting. Adorable for Maxen, angsty for Maxie, and BEEF BEEF BEEF for ass pen & edit HJKL but I like the idea of him helping Eddie and that only creating tension and a dislike of each other. We should totally plot something for them!!
Bowie and Green though omg!! Green is going to love Bowie; new iconic friendship?? I think so, especially since Bowie is an absolute daredevil, just like Green. They need to be friends because who else will encourage each other to do stupidly reckless things in the name of fun??
Also oH I TOTALLY FORGOT THAT BUT I AGREE 100%. Eddie knowing it was Elijah, but in order to protect his and Joey's identity he claims it was someone in BP who killed Aiden!!

@Hoot You already know how I feel about what you pointed out and I 100% agree! The last thing we would like to do is to make this plot feel exclusive when it was intended to be quite the opposite! No one will be assigned particular roles in which no one else is allowed to join in on said roles. Everyone's characters are welcome in any role which gives them muse and inspiration.
But yes! As for your ideas? I love them?? Firstly, my biggest pet peeve is when the protagonist always has the upper hand. There should be times where FL makes a mistake and fumbles. There should be times where FL does something questionable which makes BP seem like the good guys (after all, BP may be an antagonistic group but we must remember they aren't bad for the sake of being bad; they have genuine reasons for doing this). I do know that the trigger for BP's hostility directly towards FL is because of a mistake on FL's part!
I love the idea of morals being questioned! It is so interesting to see how writers can stretch and break their characters when a stressful situation happens. I mean currently I know that BP does this in order to feel safe in knowing they can look after one another, but perhaps something happens where BP then needs those supplies and FL would be almost cruel to deny them it?? But also the morals of individuals being questioned. People who wouldn't hurt a fly now being thrust into conflict, people who wouldn't harm a woman know having to do so to protect their own? The options are limitless.
Also, currently FL wants to stop BP as BP's actions directly impact FL! FL is the closest large group to BP so the victims of BP's crimes come to FL seeking help or stealing in order to survive, and it's draining FL's own supplies! It would be really interesting thinking of something FL could also gain out of winning?
I really like that though and I agree! Sometimes it's far more realistic when both parties essentially lose. Fights like these are not so clear cut; there rarely is an apparent winner and loser as everyone loses enough to be deemed losers ya know? it would be mad depressing if both groups were worse off after the fight.
I really love those ideas though fr!

@Everyone So, I'm thinking we should get the ball rolling with this plot sooner rather than later. It's a long term plot so we can develop along the way once we've got a feel for it! Tomorrow, I will write up a quick summary of what we've discussed so far so that we can see whether people think that it's a plot that they're happy with! I'll be posting the summary here so... Keep your eyes peeled for it.

And, after what Hoot pointed out, I think in the meantime it would be interesting to hear feedback from you guys:
Who should win? FL? BP? Or should it be not so clear who won?

So we know that currently there is tension between Flintlock and Bluestem since FL disagree with BP's frequent raids in the prairie, but lets take things a step further: a couple of skirmishes with the threat of an outright war, and how FL deal with BP since tensions are only seemingly rising. BP doesn't plan on stopping any time soon, and they don't like FL getting in their way. But, FL has to continually pick up all the pieces that BP keep tearing down, and it is getting exhausting trying to mediate in the prairie when BP won't listen to FL's voice of reason.

I have Brock from BP, and I know he would very gladly kill every person in FL if it meant that he could have things his way - maybe he's even interested in having BP attempt to take over FL - basically there isn't anything he wouldn't do to retaliate against FL, so no one is limited in what happens with their character against BP's hostility.

Essentially, FL is under grave threat, so how will your character react? I'd love to see as many characters involved and intertwined in the plot. Whether your character acts as a warrior to fight against BP, or they get harmed/held hostage, or they try to spy on BP - anything would be interesting to thicken the plot. Additionally, I would like to encourage smaller side plots which stem from the main plot too.

Also, does anyone have any ideas on how we can develop the plot any further? Perhaps someone's character has insider information that they may choose to (not) share with FL, or maybe FL plan a way to defend themselves but BP does something that no one could have expected, or maybe BP had plans on how to attack but FL managed to outsmart them?

Lets develop this plot!! Please note that this plot will happen regardless, so let us make sure it caters to everyone's characters as well as people's muse. A lot can come of this plot if we work together to develop it.

I think when it comes to the kids, either evacuate them to a safer group (North Star perhaps?) to keep them safe and so we don’t have to worry about them. But that’s just my opinion cause I don’t want any little nuggets getting hurt.

Blake would love the archery practice tbh. But I feel like the only person she wouldn’t shoot is Frank cause I’d like to think the two are still on good terms? I’d love a side plot with Odessa if anyone wanted!

As for a spy on the inside - I can totally bring Maddie back. Granted she may be a bit too obvious but that could work in her favor anyway like “she’s too obvious there’s no way it’s her” sorta deal? Otherwise I have Paisley in BP but I don’t know how willing she would be to spy for Brock.

the evacuating the kids to a different group like northstar could be interesting! it would give some flintlockers opportunities to interact with nders a bit more than they do already! and it could get some more activity and plots going for northstar as well as the other two groups!
with this, since she is a caretaker i could offer up max being one of the people to help watch over them in northstar! (:

and then for seb, i feel like since he is still recovering from his wound even though its been awhile, max would want him to stay put somewhere to stay safe, but maybe he could volunteer to be some type of spy the last minute?? or he would want to help fight and protect flintlock! pretty much anything other than sitting still

i really love the evacuation of the kids idea! especially to northstar and that can also allow for a baby beach day we have talked about before to keep the kids calm and things.

as well, i know that finny, truce, and i have talked about badlands maybe helping bp(if we get it anytime soon i suppose) and maybe someone could catch wind of it? or fl could maybe try to get to them first?

as for my own characters,
joey will probably want nothing to do with getting the kids out. she’ll leave rosie specifically with max and offer to gain info/infiltrate bp? ive always had a femme fatale image for her so i would love to have a chance to really play that out.

for bowie, i can see him trying to help with strategy, which could be Interesting with the eddie v. him thing goin on. or, i can even see him going with the kids n caretakers to protect them in a way and he kinda hates conflict so it might make sense. i’m not totally sure what i really want for him so if anyone needs an extra oc for a plot or has a specific plot involving him, lemme know!

[member=9567]Noccy[/member] firstly your idea about the kids of FL being evacuated?? i love that idea so much, especially since FL is such a family based community, it would seem the most logical for them to want to prioritise their safety! and also us plotting how that affects the characters too?? like i imagine blake heartbroken that her kids aren't around, and constantly worrying and hoping that they are okay. on the plus side, i feel like ellie would probably evacuate to ND, too, with grace so perhaps we can plot something between the two of them as they're such good friends (blake and ellie i mean ghgjkl)

also archery practice GHJFKGHKJL im dead i love that. also i do feel like frank would be very conflicted in it considering FL is like family to him, so i bet you he rlly wont want to hurt any FLers. maybe we can plot blake and frank bumping into each other during conflict and them not harming each other bc neither want this fight, plus theyre on good terms personally :cc

as for odessa, i know i already dm'ed you about her earlier, but i'd love to have a side plot with her! she's a medic so maybe its smth based on that? perhaps she gets hurt and her ability to help people has lessened temporarily, so she teams up with someone less knowledgeable and they work together?

as for spies, if you have the muse for maddie it would be fun to see her again! but also paisley acting as a spy? imagine if she doesnt want to spy for brock, but talking with frank they make a plan that paisley spies on FL in order to make sure frank's family is kept safe, so FL doesnt even realise that paisley spying on them is actually protecting them to an extent?? and also it's smth that is inevitably detrimental to brock, so paisley would perhaps be more likely to do it? idk honestly i'm just spewing ideas at this point, we can work on a plot like that, but we don't have to if you're not up for it ofc! i'm open to literally anything

@hoot yes! brock did, if i remember correctly!! so i suppose that it's more than enough motivation for brendan to want to oppose BP's hostility, and perhaps that backfires for him somehow?? poor bABY

@finny omg that's a good point!! i love the idea of ND and FL getting to communicate with each other more, and this plot can be a great opportunity for FL to visit ND more often! max going to ND to help watch over the kids would be so sweet aW. i know eddie would really trust max in making sure his kids are safe and sound.

as for seb!! what if max wants him to stay put but, as soon as she heads off to ND eddie pulls him over like "yo can you help me by spying" and i totally imagine seb would be glad to be like "hell yeah, beats doing nothing at all!" GHFJKGL plus when max finds out, i bet she wouldnt be pleased that eddie went and did that. and then when the time comes he could definitely step in as a fighter to protect the lodge!! hey, maybe even noccy and/or inny can have blake and/or fred help seb build his strength after his recovery in order to fight, creating a side plot for you guys?

[member=570]scully[/member] omg yes, if we do end up with BL, that could definitely be an idea! them siding with BP and likely encouraging brock's behaviour tbh! we've already been plotting some rising tensions between eddie and the knope brothers, so it would make sense for BL to side with BP over FL!

joey really gives off those femme fatale vibes, so i think it would be so iconic having her work on infiltrating BP! maybe even, if you wanted, we could have a side plot of joey and william working on something together in order to get closer to cracking BP. otherwise, similar side plots for spies could be arranged with other peoples' characters!

as for bowie, i can see both ideas being iconic for him! tho i mean.... yknow him going to ND with max could potentially be where maxen realises their feelings for each other, now that eddie is out of their way? otherwise, we can also definitely figure an idea out if you have more muse for bowie helping with strategy, especially since eddie would not be very receptive to ideas from him, which can create further tension within FL!

I feel like Danny would be pretty neutral towards the conflict, if a bit annoyed since he wants to focus on his job
but he would still fight to protect the lodge if he got caught up in the conflict !
