Morning light cascaded into the depths of the clinic to warm the aching bones of a fiery headed man. He laid in the bed closest to the wall, in the deepest depths of the shadowy room that seemed to waver with light and darkness as the sun crawled above the horizon to heat the cloudless sky. Sheogorath had been up since before dawn, doing little more than staring into the shadow that hungrily enveloped his pale form. He couldn't get over it, everything, really. His history, his time in the Badlands, how he had spent his life, how he was going to die right here in Northstar, never to see his cozy library again, or the beaches of his home. At least the coastal town that wrapped around the clinic he now rested within had a pearly shoreline he could visit too. That was one small blessing in a sea of lethal curses.
Uttering a small sigh, Sheogorath observed through a window as the sun climbed higher into the sky, boredom pricking at his mind. He knew he wasn't the only one in the clinic, but he hadn't bothered to approach any of the other patients. Most were in and out within an hour or two anyways, and those individuals never paid him much attention aides from the occasional curious look or two. Though far from content, he was in the best mood he could possibly be in that moment, bland and unemotional when he was typically depressed. Sheogorath wasn't sure why he felt so numb on that day, but a small part of him welcomed the distinct lack of tears upon his pale facial features.
