[align=center][div style="width: 390px; text-align: justify;"]of course, mitch had been tasked with something he had no clue how to set up, just like the meetings. he had decided to set up outside of the party with tables and drinks, an old carpet for those participating in the contest to stand on and be judged by him and selena. of course, he didn't expect anything massive, considering finding normal clothes was hard enough, much less a full costume..
but people always seemed to surprise him.
he sighed as he straightened the rug, the old table covers, the chairs- if something was crooked, he straightened it. he was nervous that it wouldn't be good enough, especially considering who his partner in crime was. she always seemed perfect, did things perfectly, and he wanted it to be to her standards, so he just kept tweeking until people finally arrived- and that only made him more nervous. he offered a few week smiles, glancing around for selena before he stood up on a chair and cleared his throat.
"well.. welcome to the costume contest portion of the halloween party! obviously whoever uh.. whoever has the best costume wins a prize. good luck!" the prize had been on the center table, hidden under a cloth. to everyone outside, it just looked like a box, but he knew it was a case of different games like monopoly (with a few pieces and some money missing), checkers, snakes and ladders, even a poker set. nothing super useful.
