— hammerhead? he was enough for addy to barely stifle a huff of laughter because that was the last fucking thing he had expected. "nice one," he remarked sarcastically, slight amusement glimmering in his eyes. his gaze wandered towards lucerne, who would probably be unimpressed with the remark, and try and launch one right back. lucerne’s insults could sting like a bitch - it made all the more worthwhile.

catalyst was humming in thought, no doubt thinking about what to insult addy with. “don’t,” addy warned, “even think about it, bitchass.” he was here to fuckin’ observe not get insulted. not much would insult him, really - but he didn’t want catalyst to waste their fucking breath on it.

[LUCERNE.]

    Lucerne blinked. Was he hearing correctly? ❝ Huh. So, you'd really like to see me throw my head up against the wall. ❞ He commented brashly, referring to his previous statement. An unremarkable insult to say the very least, in Lucerne's opinion. Catalyst called Lucerne robotic as if that were the insult rather than it being mere fact... in some sort of twisted way. In the literal sense, perhaps Lucerne was in fact human but, metaphorically, that was up for debate.

Hands clasped together behind his back, Lucerne staring stoically across at Catalyst as he listened intently to the next insult. At least they were being creative, Lucerne could care to admit silently to himself. He had no reaction to the words, only brief contemplation before retorting, ❝ If you are referring to the distance between my eyes, then I am very much aware. ❞ Was this a somewhat amiable conversation?     Lucerne's brows knitted together. Words were biting, but had little substance. Like a toothless dog; Cat was going in for the kill, yet instead did little more than gum Lucerne. He almost felt bad for them, that this was as far as an incapable mind could go. And so, Lucerne took a step back, nodding his head slowly, before responding accordingly. ❝ Thank you for you input. ❞ Well, seemingly he had no ammunition to bite back with, and so would he simply accept this as a fact and move on?

He shoved his hands in his pockets, looking across at Cat... Hmm. No. He had one last thing to say. ❝ I will keep that in mind for when I want to remember what witless muppets like to say in their spare time. ❞ He nodded his head slowly, brows knitted together before he added as an afterthought, this time his tone brighter. ❝ Oh, don't worry. It'll join a whole list of attempted quips from Addy, so you're both in this together at least. ❞ Well, that was a way to drag Addy into the mud, too. And with that, he nodded his head in acknowledgement before turning on his heels and wandering away, hands shoved in his pockets.
