"

seemed easy enough. and she did build a good bond with the canines, they were mainly the only living creatures she seemed to hang around with these days. with nobody her age to talk to, and being so against the majority of the group, she didn't have anyone or anything to really keep her company besides her cat, hero. these dogs were more family than her real family, and she had yet to even consider the people of los santos a family yet. they weren't good enough to be her family. they had to earn it.

when she heard the word 'family' only one person came into her mind; deacon. her feelings towards her step-brother clashed and conflicted one another. one minute she was grateful towards him. he tried to protect her from cade, tried to keep him from laying a hand on her. but then there were times where he wasn't there for her. he left her alone to deal with being the punching dummy that night, pushed around and yelled at like she wasn't a person. she was only a kid. a kid should not have to deal with something so cruel, so vile. it changed her. her innocence and weakness turned into pure rage and she'd take this rage out on deacon the next time she saw him. tears falling down her freckled cheeks while she screamed at him until her throat ached. shooting him with questions about why he wasn't there, why he just left her the way that he did.

so family was a rough subject for the young girl. but, hey, at least she had the good, reliable company of the dogs. honey squatted down in front of a group of some of the large dogs, a bag of treats to give them in one hand and her other reaching forward to each give them a scratch on the bed. she stands up and holds the bag behind her back, showing that they wouldn't get a reward until after they performed the trick successfully. ❝ back up, ❞ she said with a tone that was loud and stern, commanding these beasts. some obeyed and, thus, received an award for their cooperation. as for those that struggled, honey gave them a small frown. ❝ back up, ❞ the red-head repeated, this time getting a response out of them. ❝ alright... ❞ this next trick was mainly for selfish reasons. it wouldn't help them much, but it was pretty neat to her. honey commands that they step back closer with a firm " come " and then sits back down on the ground. after telling the dogs to sit she reaches a hand, palm up, to a specific dog - a male german shepherd - and smiles as she says, ❝ shake. shake.

the brute obeys the young girl and he lifts a paw to place it in her hand, letting honey shake it up and down. after feeding him a treat she claps her hands together and pulls his head close so she can kiss the top of it. ❝ you're such a good boy! good boy, you're such a good boy.

there were more tricks she wanted to showcase to the group, though. things like jumping, speaking, growling. honey stands him and brushes herself off before placing her index finger and pinkie in her mouth to whistle, hoping to get people's attention. ❝ okay, guys, i want to show you all some stuff i've been working on with these big babies, ❞ she meant it in the nicest way possible, but she just found the large dogs to be absolute sweethearts with her. ❝ i'm pretty much the best.

[align=center][div style="width:500px;font-size:9.2pt; text-align:justify"]"I wanna see this. Maybe you can teach Volatile how to fuckin' sit still." Wasn't more than a joke, though, because that wasn't something Volatile could do, the same way Caustic couldn't do it. Had to do with the itch the both of them had dragging teeth along the axons of their nerves. Kinda funny to picture it though. Volatile sitting there with the mutts as a teenage girl told him to shake. Weird too, though, which was why he stopped entertaining the thought and instead sat down against a wall, one knee pulled up toward his chest, unwavering stare on the big dogs always roaming around Los Santos. He'd have to check up on them after this, make sure they didn't have shit in their teeth and were eating right.

'Least this way he could tell which ones were more active and bright; if any of them looked lethargic or didn't respond as well, he knew to take a look at them first.

"What're you usin' for treats?"

maybe honey was just itching for a taste of what it was like to have control for once.

she grins at caustic and raises the baggie of treats in the air. ❝ meat. as dogs like. ❞ she explains, not really entirely sure herself. she turns back to the row of dogs and throws each of them a treat, each dog jumping or hopping in the air to catch the food in its jaws. ❝ they can bark... they're pretty good at locating stuff or people. i've been working on that, anyway. ❞ they had powerful noses and they'd be useful if they needed to find anyone or anything. with a simple sniff of a person's belongings, the dogs would be able to aid in finding that missing person.
