Wide yellow eyes take in the rubble of what she assumes to have once been a grand place. Even now it stands, tall and looming and honestly it intimidates the poor gal -- sure, she isn't small, quite the opposite in fact, but she knows it stands over even the tallest creatures. That's not to say that she knows if there's anything taller than humans, she'd always been rather left out of the loop. Honestly, Lou blames it on the gills. She can't say she blames them. Even know they look odd, standing out like scars, still moving against her sleek fur. She feels a little bit miffed -- she's not in the water, so it really shouldn't be doing that.
A hesitant grin grows on the face of the scottish fold now. What was this place. The .. Stea Bastion ? What does that even mean ? She puffs a breath and shakes her head, and perhaps, if she had the ears the same as the other felines she's met, they'd be flattened against her head, whether it be from the daunting anxiety or the wonder. It doesn't matter, in any case, as Lou puffs a breath. She yearns for the water, now -- perhaps she would have been better off in Riverclan, if she knew what it was. But she honestly didn't -- she'd only ever heard of the Stea Bastion, and only in passing, disinterest in the rogue's tone as she'd tended to his wounds. She doesn't really understand, because the idea of there being a society of creatures caring for each other was, well, amazing, at least to her, but that was okay. Maybe she just didn't understand yet.
"Hello ?" There's a curious edge to Lou's voice as her stub tail twitches, a grin slowly growing on the gal's maw. Absently, she wonders if they have water, maybe just a pond, or a pool -- just anything she can swim in. Because yeah, sure, maybe staying away from the water for long periods of time wasn't life-threatening, but it was uncomfortable. Unlike the rest of feline kind, she was practically made for the water, lived in it. That didn't explain why she was here, though. Maybe it never would. "I'm, uh. I'm Lou ! I'm here to join, maybe ?"
[div style="width: 450px;; text-align: justify"]Talisman's head seemingly popped out of nowhere on request from behind some rubble, his ears twitching gently. Padding over, he kept his expression blank, keeping his eyes on Lou. "Hey," he greeted warmly, blinking his emerald eyes at her. "I'm Talisman, the King of Stea Bastion - what do you mean by maybe?" he asked gently, chuckling softly.

Perking up as she heard the voice of a stranger, somrwhat surprisingly not even joltimg, the stump of Lou's tail wags in a rather dog-like manner -- not that she knew much about dogs. Or anything that didn't frequently live near the water. Maybe that was the reason she left. Huh.
"W-Well, I wasn't sure if I was gonna be able to join." Lou admits a little sheepishly, a smile wide on her maw as the scottish fold ducks her head. She didn't know much about clans or groups or whatever they were, but she was eager to learn, in any case. "Is it that easy?" Lou puzzles, lifting her head now to tip it to the side in a confused manner. He hadn't said 'welcome, so she wasn't sure, or maybe it was just cause she said maybe ? In any case, it's a little nerve-wracking. "Oh, and it's nice to meet you, Talisman !" Lou adds as an afterthought, eyes lighting up enthusiastically. She's not too accustomed to social stuff like personal space or whatever -- she hadn't really grown up as a cat, you see, but she hopes he doesn't mind the lateness of the phrase. He seems nice enough, though, so maybe she shouldn't worry so much ? Huh.

[div style="width: 450px;; text-align: justify"]"Well, feel free to join us if you're up for it. Our doors are open." He mewed, before giving a sly grin, before breaking into laughter. "Literally, since we live in a Colosseum." he chuckled, before giving a curt nod to Lou. "Nice to meet you too."
( ooc; muse is low, sorry )
can't be bothered to fix this, sorry

Oh ! So she was accepted ! Her stub tail continues to wag happily. She doesn't hold the same posture as the rest of the feline species, so perhaps that explained it. But even so, Lou can't help but let out a few odd, gurgling giggles with Talisman. He definitely seems friendly, so Lou can't find it in her to regret coming here, because at least he isn't yelling ? Yelling hurt her folded ears, especially above water, and she's not entirely sure what yelling meant because she could usually hear them perfectly well ? This is off topic and absolutely besides the point, so she stops thinking about it, easy as that.
"Thank you !" Lou responds cheerily, and there's a big grin on the feline's maw. So she's here ? Nobody else showed up, is there anyone else ? No, he was using words like 'we' and 'us' so obviously there's more. There's a lot of reasons nobody else might've showed up, though. "How many others are there here ?" Lou asks instead, head tipping. She doesn't know how to chat with groups very well, but she can certainly make an attempt, she just needs to brace herself. Unless there was some secret code thing in clans she was unaware of, but if there was, they would probably excuse her, as she was very obviously not raised by a clan. Or, you know, by literally anyone -- her mother abandoned her due to her gills, but she can't remember at what age. Actually, she doesn't know how old she is at all, so it's understandable.
[div style="width: 450px;; text-align: justify"]Talisman returned her smiles, although he quietly found his eyes briefly wandering to her gills. He hopped there wasn't any sort of breathing problems she might need.... maybe we should build a pool? he thought to himself, noting the idea for later. Talisman, however, froze when he heard Lou's voice again. There were people that had joined, certainly, but there weren't many people still around. "Ah, people kind of pop up here and there." he mewed honestly, before adding, "If you don't want to talk to anyone, you can always just relax in our garden."

"Who have we here?" Ayaka chirped, hearing the last strains of a conversation. The riverclan medic found herself wandering her other clans territory less and less these days, with little to no progress on her research. She needed to be around more. This was her group as much as riverclan was, after all.

Had Talisman voiced his concerns, Lou would've responded with the fact she could breathe perfectly fine above water -- it was a little uncomfortable right now, and she'd definitely need to seek out water to swim in occasionally, but she was definitely fine.
"Oh ! Okay !" That didn't answer he question as to how many people there were, but maybe he didn't know ? Regardless, she beamed a thanks to his suggestion -- gardens were nice. And, just as she opens her maw to happily thank him, there's another voice -- another member ? She whirls, yellow eyes bright, and she isn't entirely sure if the other is actually from the Stea Bastion ? Well, probably, because she's here and while the scent of it is kinda faint and Lou is having a hard time picking it up, it's definitely there.
"Hi ! I'm Lou, I'm joining ! Who're you ?" Lou answers, simply because the other had asked and she definitely didn't know the other feline's name. Besides, knowing the names of her clanmates was nice, if only so she could identify them beyond their species, which would actually take a while to get used to ? Oh well.
