( ❝built in. 1975. hasn't been used since '06❞ ). it's quite clear that this house hasn’t seen love for awhile. the door resisted upon entering, ( they'd been warned. ) the beige paint on the walls, chipped, and what's left of the furniture is accommodated in practice. orange light from a sunset passes through the windows, adding a twinge of personality. Robert had described the place as charming and maybe to some, that was true. but right now, he only feels burden. . .like if he were to stare at the pictures here too long, they'd know things. regardless, he proceeds to the basement, feeling slightly better as a dim glow washed over the walls. it's only when he reached the bottom of the very creaky steps did his heart sink to see the scatter that littered the floor. boxes, some toppled over each other, stretching over the room making a big place seem small. [b]"So, Bob said we needed the balls and jump ropes, right?" He asked his fellow counselors, lightly kicking at sea of boxes. [b]"Failed to mention it won't be so easy to find." He peers in a box, only being welcomed by a sea of files.

[align=center][align=center][div style="0px; width:450px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height:13px;"]Ryan hadn't intended her summer to go like this. Had she known she'd rather volunteer for a summer camp than kick around in the middle of God-knows-where, she would've stayed with her dad than visit her mom's new place this summer. Sure, she loved her mom... but the house in the middle of the woods was just begging for some cult of demon-worshipers to take over. Much like the house she was now (reluctantly) entering. Her allergies were already yelling at her from spending the summer outside, but this dusty house was... well, Ryan didn't have enough words for what this was gonna do to her. "Failed to mention that his storage building was a fuckin' murder house replica, either." Tentatively stepping further into the house, Ryan held back the urge to sneeze. "How many squirrels corpses d'ya think we're gonna find?"

"hopefully no squirrel corpses - that would be quite sad..... but probably at least one." stella mentioned, pulling her hair into a ponytail and out of her face before looking to the boxes. "the house is kind of cool though... a creepy kind of cool..." she commented before going to look through a box.

Since she's arrived, she seems almost anything yet ecstatic—or at least out of five of them. He wonders what made her feel like camp counseling was her only option. Then again, sending a bunch of newcomers to the creepiest location of the camp probably wasn't the best welcoming gift either. He kind of half expected for the older man to jump out in a cheap Halloween mask, like some kind of ritualistic prank. "You mean other than the ones I've already seen?" He deadpans, eyes shifting between the two girls before cracking a smile. Removing one of his hands from the pocket of his hoodie, he crouches down to sift through another box, momentarily distracted. Fingers brushing the binders of the books, he pauses, eyebrows knitting together when he runs along not a book, but the hard casing of a board game. Using both of his index fingers, he carefully eases the object out, flipping it over, the name etched in big, bold words. "OUIJA". [b]"Think Bob would let us play this with the kids?" He jokes. It wouldn't have been his first run-in with these things ( he used to play it with his weird cousin who had a 'satan is my religion!' phase. ) and was skeptical; out of all those times he'd done so, nothing happened, or from what he can remember.

[align=center][div style="0px; width:500px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt; line-height:17px;"][font=amazon BT]The storage facility looked like shit and Casey hadn't even stepped foot inside yet. That's the thing, he didn't want to step foot inside. It looked like a bad omen from the start, and he was taking as long as he could to finish his cigarette out in the foreboding ( yet reassuring ) woods. Anything to keep him from putting one leg into that dusty, decrepit ruin of a building. It was gross and, while he wouldn't openly admit it, creepy. He liked knowing what he was getting into, and that was one of the things they didn't list in the requirements of being a camp counselor. Honestly, he wasn't sure how or why he became a counselor. He didn't like kids ( most of them were snotty and bratty ), and he had much better things to be doing. But... he remembered spending most of his summers away at camps like these. The nostalgia just hit at the wrong moment, he supposed. "Lemme know if you guys need any actual help," He called after a moment, dropping his cigarette to the floor before stomping it out. Smokey the Bear wasn't gonna be able to do shit to him now. "'Cause I'm not going in there without a good reason."

" the kids would probably have a blast , but we'd all be in serious shit . my mom would K I L L me if i let my sister even know these things exist . " he paused , moving up to stand beside logan so he could get a better look . his smile grew . he whispered , under his breath , " s w e e t . "

"aw, you don't wanna get dust inhalation with us??" she asked him, due to almost every box being covered in it. she crouched down to shift through the box better, only to find files in this one as well. before she could move to the next box, her attention was grabbed by logan and dusk looking at something, mentioning something about playing it with the kids. her eyebrows furrowed some before she stood up again and walked over to look at what logan was holding. a ouija board.... she never had tried using one before. but from what she new, they never worked, only in cheesy horror films to be dramatic. "hey, we could scare casey with it," she whispered quietly to the others in the basement, a playful smile on her face.

Logan couldn't imagine the camp ever really allowing them to play with the kids, fallacious or not. He wonders how this game ended up here in the first place . . . could it have been less taboo in the past? He could imagine , kids concealed in polaroid estque , trying to silence both their waking minds and mumbling curiosity. His finger brushes over it in careful circular motion, withdrawn from his wandering state at Stella's suggestion. He raises an eyebrow, eyes portraying intrigue. Then, his lips twitch, spreading into a devilish grin. His eyes flicker over the other two in hopes for their approval. He feels as if he doesn't need to worry about Dawn, but he can't tell with Ryan. [b]"We're coming!" He calls out to Casey, pointing towards the corner of the room where the balls and jump ropes sat. Making his way over to them, he grabs one of the boxes, handing it to Dawn before grabbing the other, placing the board game along with. He still proceeds ( with caution ) up the stairs, and once he reaches the top he shoves the box into Casey's hands. [b]"We can get out of here after one thing." He pulls out the OUIJA board, making his way to the coffee table, removing the plastic that covers it. Lowering down onto his knees, he looks up at the others. [b]"Have you ever. . ." He started, voice lowering to reflect the tone he's attempting to set. As he does so, he opens the box, carefully. [b]"wondered if we could, in fact, contact the dead?" He proceeds to take out the board along with the planchette. [b]"Ask it a question, any question at all."
