”Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here around high rock for a clan meeting.” aloestar sounded grim. the dilute tortoiseshell leaped onto the stone, tail lashing. blazing yellow eyes scanned the clearing and once her clan had gathered, she allowed herself to relax. ”this meeting is mandatory for everyone above six moons. there are some very important things i need to discuss with you all.”

“Firstly, i don’t feel comfortable without a deputy. Fernheart, Id like to ask you to step up. you’ve been by my side since i was an apprentice and i believe you to be more than capable.” she meowed. “Secondly, Cactusbite and Rabbitkit are demoted. there has been no sign of you two and we need active medicine cats.”

and with that, came her most important announcement. “We will be attacking WindClan shortly. I want every capable warrior and apprentice going. If there’s an issue with this, speak to me. Medicine Cats or not, we cannot wait any longer. we must have prey.” She had never es ed it to come to this, but she saw no other option. unsheathing her claws, she looked down at her clan once more. “Prepare. We leave at dusk.”

/sorry for the short meeting and lack of posts on my part! i’ve been really busy with work but my schedule is sorted out and we’re all good now! the link to the attack will be up soon!

[align=center][div style="width: 450px;font-size: 10pt;text-align: justify; font-family: times new roman;"]The graceful warrior had been gnawing on a mouse bone when the meeting had been called. She was thin, far thinner than usual. The drought had been a harsh blight upon ThunderClan's territory and its inhabitants. Already, an elder had fallen to starvation and weakness. Fernheart had watched them collapse, but by the time she had managed to get them to the medicine den and get some herbs - perhaps find Cactusbite or Rabbitkit - they had already joined StarClan. She had stood by for their vigil, the severity of the drought now at the forefront of her mind. She had to do something, anything to help her clan.

She looked up towards Aloestar when the yowl had echoed against her long ears. She pivoted somewhat so that, while she gnawed hungrily on the bone, she had a clearer view of the leader as the higher-up went about the announcements. Hm, a mandatory meeting. Something important was going down and Fernheart had a feeling Aloestar would take official action regarding the drought. It was almost as if Fernheart had been whispering in the leader's ears. An action the warrior would neither confirm or deny.

Then, the leader's next words had the lilac point's heart nearly stopping. "Firstly, I don’t feel comfortable without a deputy. Fernheart, I'd like to ask you to step up. You've been by my side since I was an apprentice and I believe you to be more than capable." For a moment, the green-eyed female blinked. The first part of her dreams was realized, something once out of her reach was now well within her grasp. Dropping the bone from her mouth and letting it fall on to her paws, she grinned toothily at the leader. It was true, she and the leader had started being friends just after Aloestar had come to ThunderClan, even though the leader was a bit younger than she.

"You can count on me, Aloestar," she responded, a determined glint in her eyes as she continued to listen to the leader's further announcements. Then, the demotion of Cactusbite and Rabbitkit. Cactusbite had been medicine cat for so long... But they weren't around enough to meet the demands of the position, neither was Rabbitkit. The decision was an obvious one in the making but it still left the newly-made deputy shaken. Without a medicine cat or medicine cat apprentice to care for their sick and weak, who would...? Hopefully, StarClan would send a sign for someone to step up lest ThunderClan face more hardship.

It was then that the next announcement sparked a fire of pride in her blood. They were ThunderClan. They were the strong, the brave, the daring. They would never allow themselves to fall to something as simple as a drought, even if they had no medicine cat to back them up. Admittedly, Fernheart would consider the action a brash one. But she knew the leader well, knew of her pride and stubbornness and distrust of other clans. She shared some of it herself, albeit not so much. The attack was an order from her leader and, as deputy, Fernheart was obligated to support it. "I'm at your disposal."

[tt]Weariness and heat weighed down the wirey-built warrior, but the prospect of a meeting breathed something into him - or at least gave him a second wind. Would Aloestar make an announcement on deputy? Would she say something about the dwindling prey? His bone tingled with excitement for both aspects. He finished dropping off prey at the fresh kill pile - prey was a kind word for a small vole but it was something - and headed over to were Fernheart stood. Some days it felt like it was just them in camp, but he didn't want to think about that now.
Swiftly, as was his sister's nature, Aloestar addressed the issues Suneye thought she would. Unfortunately, they weren't in the way he thought. At the mention of Fernheart's name, Suneye couldn't help but feel a stab of something negative. His sholdars dropped a bit, his face souring. Ah. But Aloestar's reasons sounded sound to him, and deep down, he felt a bit relieved. No one seemed to listen to him when he tried to organize patrols anyways. And, deep down Suneye admitted, he wasn't sure what to do in the limelight. Cats would surely listen to Fernheart, though, she, like Aloestar, seemed to have an air about them Suneye couldn't achieve. In short, both mollies seemed groomed for the life of a leader. Fernheart's 'you can count on me' seemed to confirm Suneye's beliefs. He let a small smirk grow on his face as he turned to the deputy, watching her clear joy. Leaning closer to her he muttered 'dropped something' before playfully tapping her on the back with his tail.
While the announcement of deputy had been expected, the announcement on medicine cats was not. No healer?
Suneye repeated, his features drawing in. This wasn't good...and then Aloestar's declaration of war on Wind clan just worsened his worries. This marks the first time I've ever thought about calling her a fox brain. The tom's tail began to lash as he thought. What would happen if someone got hurt? With so little cats, it was bound to happen... How many cats were at Wind Clan? The thoughts gave way to fear, and fear gave way to depredation, and desperation hatched a plan.
Turning on his paws, Suneye hurried out of camp. Prepare. Oh he'd prepare all right!

// to clearify, suneye's just a bit bitter! I'm not! Glad to see you've chossen a deputy! Big GrinD Best of luck to you fernheart! ^^[/tt]
