It had been around a month now since Castiel passed away and Jack was brought into the world. Sam had tried his hardest to take care of the boy while Dean was grieving the loss of Castiel. The past few days Dean had been doing slightly better. That was until Sam ended up going missing.

At this point, Dean was just so emotionally and mentally drained and exhausted. Jack, while still being very clueless on how to be human or even control his powers, was trying to help Dean out as best as he could even though Dean despised him.

The two were currently out at a fast food restraunt. This was the first time in the past week Dean was actually eating. Jack knew it wasn’t healthy for him but he would let it slide since dean needed to eat something.

Jack and Dean were seated at the table furthest back in the room. Dean was eating a burger silently. Jack had his gaze down as he nibbles on a few fries.

callum was, really, just a single dad. he didn’t hunt monsters- or animals-, he worked three different jobs and hardly slept- when he wasn’t working, he was taking his kids to school, or making food for his kids, and on rare occasions, he actually got to sleep. if he did get to sleep, it wasn’t for more than two hours before he had to do to his night shift as the 24 hour diner that he was putting in extra time for.

currently, he was at job number two, one of his two diner jobs. he moved to dean’s table and smiled tiredly. he really did look exhausted. “hey there. is everything going on?” he asked.

Jack and Dean looked up at Callum when he wandered over. “It’s fine.” Dean murmured.

“The food is really good. Thank you.” Jack murmured, offering a smile. It was clear that Jack was much more friendly and inviting then what Dean was

he smiled a bit wider now, chuckling softly. “you’re welcome. i’m glad someone finally enjoys the food.” he said and glanced over at a nearby table who were grumbling in an annoyed way. “would you guys like anything else to drink? 25% off all drinks- alcoholic and non tonight.”

Jack glanced over at them. “Yeah sure. I’ll take some alcohol.” Dean said. Jack frowned, looking back at Dean.

“Dean you shouldn’t be drinking anymore.” Jack whispered

“Kid I don’t tell you how to live your life so let me live mine in peace.” Dean muttered

he frowned softly. “well.. if you’ve already had a few drinks tonight, i’m not allowed to sell.” he said.

Dean sighed. “I practically live off of alcohol. Not a day you don’t find me drinking it.” Dean said. Jack frowned, watching him.

he frowned softly. “how much have you had today?”

Dean sighed. “Since this morning? About seven bottles of beer.” Dean murmured.

he shook his head. “that goes way over our limit. i’m sorry.” he sighed.
