• he's canonically 17 years old , but his age ranges from 16 - 20 .

greyson was born to high school sweethearts katherine and jamison king , but grew up without his mother as she had died in a car accident when he was merely two years old . his father never remarried , however they did move from a big city in england to a smaller suburb in australia a year after katherine's death , and they've been residing there since .

his father works at home , most of the time , but there's every so often where he'll have to travel out of the country for his work . he and greyson used to be fairly close , spent as much time together as possible , but when greyson hit thirteen , they started to grow apart as grey gradually became part of the group of rebellious , infamous boys , [i]the lupi . the teen had always been an outcast , and never fit in anywhere , having had only one close friend who he basically left in the dust when they were both around ten or so — the lupi gave him a place where he mattered , and not just ignored or cast aside . he's become somewhat of the unspoken leader's righthand man , despite his timid and quiet personality .

he doesn't like a lot of the things the lupi do ; he doesn't like vandalizing anything , anywhere , or watching the other boys bully others . he doesn't take joy in it like they do , but he's too timid , and too scared to be left behind , to be alone again , to do or say anything about it . he feels trapped , and he wishes he could get out , be friends with his best childhood ex-friend again , have fun with him and get slushies at midnight and trespass into the library on halloween just for the adrenaline rush . however , it's too late for that , as said friend died when he was sixteen , on halloween , after getting drunk alone and falling onto the rocks in the riverbank . grey was the one to find him , that night , and he still has frequent nightmares about it , and won't go back to that riverbank ever . he was forced to , once , by his so-called lupus friends , and he had a panic attack that ended up with him staying in bed for almost a week .

[div style="width: 443px; text-align: justify; font-family: malgun gothic; font-size: 7.3pt; line-height: 1; letter-spacing: 0.4px; color: #404040; margin-bottom: 5px;"]— ( ZAYDE RYKER SCHOEN ) was born in boston, massachusetts, to tsula and damen schoen on the seventh of march. his mother is of cherokee native american decent, and his father is of ashkenazi jewish decent. his mother unfortunately fell ill when zayde was ten, and passed away with his hand in hers when he was twelve. shortly after, he and his father moved to los angeles, california, where he easily made a ton of friends when school started after the summer. his father died in a car accident when he was fourteen, and he was put into the care of his father's best friend, who was like an uncle to him. zayde was a bit tough to get through to at first, understandably, after losing both of his parents in such a short amount of time, at such an early age, but he eventually opened up to his 'uncle' and continued to make many friends ( mostly not very true friends, but it's high school; what do you expect? ) a school. he became one of the most popular kids, the cool mysterious kid from boston, and it's stuck with him throughout his high school years.

— ( ZAYDE IS OFTEN PERCEIVED BY OTHERS ) as very mysterious; the boy next door with his hands in his pockets, thumbs sticking out, leaning against the school with shades covering his eyes, head tilted upwards. he's the cool kid from boston, even after having lived in la for years now ( the accent's still there, because he and his father visit boston every summer ). he's quiet, laid-back, sarcastic — he's the type of guy everyone believes skips classes to go to anywhere other than school; the santa monica pier, hiding somewhere to smoke with buddies ( even though he doesn't smoke and would rather not hang out with heavy smokers, at least while they're smoking ). he's perceived as everything he's not.

— ( HE SEES HIMSELF ) as an unlovable weirdo. he's too quiet, too laid-back, too everything-bad. he's got no talents other than fixing up cars and mathematics, and pretending to be someone he's not. zayde has never understood why people think of him the way they do, as this super cool guy everyone wants to be friends with, yet are too scared to come up to him to talk to him because of his status — but he's a hypocrite; he's too shy, frightened, whatever, to just talk to people, to climb out of his own shell and show everyone who he really is, or who he really wants to be — a fun-loving, friendly guy who can make anyone's bad day at least a little brighter.

— ( ZAYDE IS ACTUALLY ) more like a sad, lost puppy. he's prone to suppressing just about every negative emotion, and often feels them so intensely that he becomes so numb, it's easy for him to hide it. his smiles are always small and 'chill', content on the verge of looking tired. he's protective with a heart of gold, always willing to fight for those he loves, despite his preference to stay unaggressive and out of fights — his love for those he cares for overrides that. he's loyal until the end, and always honest about his positive feelings about others ( however, he won't say anything if he doesn't like someone, because he's so anxiety-filled, it causes him physical pain to hurt anyone's feelings, even if they truly suck ass ).

— ( ZAYDE ) looks a lot like ( CARTER JENKINS ).

— he has a very close relationship with his uncle ( uncle jed, short for jedidiah ). his uncle owns a car shop where he gave zayde his first job, and where zayde continues to work. he's gotten very handy with cars, old and new, because of it, and sometimes he and his uncle will go out and race each other in 'the sandlot'. ( it's not actually a sandlot, of course, but that's what they call it. it's their spot, where they go to race, or just to get away when either of them need to. )
— when he was a sophomore in high school was the first time he really noticed ( MACK JENSEN ), and he was immediately attracted to him. not necessarily in a sexual way, but just... interested in him, curious. the interest definitely grew, and after a year, he was definitely secretly crushing on him. mack's just so adorable. eventually, when zayde's a senior, mack and his best friend, ( LOGAN LENZE ), did a kissing booth for whatever. when mack put on the blindfold instead of his big brother, ( KIT JENSEN ), everybody in the line dispersed, but zayde just smiled and walked right up. their conversation after the kiss is honestly the cutest thing ever, and now, of course, they're dating, much to mack's brother's dismay and lack of approval.
— he knows mack feels the same way that zayde feels about him, but both of them can't help but feel cynical for their own reasons. zayde, because he's never met anyone as genuine as mack, and it's kind of disconcerting to him; suspicious, almost. mack's too cute, too innocent, too loving puppy-dog, and not only does zayde feel maybe he's just a place holder, but that he's not good enough for mack.
— tw: self-harm. since his mother's passing, or just a little while after, zayde had used his dad's shaving razors to self-harm. when his father found out, he tried to be as sensitive yet as firm as possible, and gently coaxed zayde into seeing a therapist. for awhile, zayde thought it was helped, and it was. he was clean for months before his father passed away, and then he started getting bad again. his uncle kept paying for him to see his therapist, and it did help a little bit for awhile. he was prescribed anti-depressants, which he still takes, and has been clean for over a year, now. the scars are mostly on his thighs, though there are some on his hips, as well. they're all faded, some more than others. he wears a rubberband on one of his wrists at all times until he goes to sleep. he does still see the therapist in order to refill his medication, and to, of course, help him get things off his chest. it's the only time he'll sometimes be honest about his real thoughts and feelings.
— he and his uncle have an italian cane corso, ( JUNO ), named after the roman goddess. she's a rescue dog that uncle jed's had since she was just a pup, and she and zayde instantly grew a very close bond. she's very protective over him, and always sleeps on his bed with him when he goes to bed, or takes naps whenever he does.
— zayde is of average height, standing at around five-foot-ten, give or take. he's got a lean, strong build from his time spent at the gym and spent at the car shop.
— absolutely LOVES all animals, and volunteers at the local animal shelter whenever he can. he's very good with them, and seems to have a bond with, like, all of them. he's basically snow white.

— ( KIT IS OFTEN PERCEIVED BY OTHERS ) as a fearless fighter. he's unafraid to do anything, to say what's on his mind, and will fight anyone who provokes him (which includes hurting someone he cares for or bullying someone). he's the perfect social butterfly football player with the smarts and the looks; a player who gets anyone he wants (even though he's literally never slept with anyone he doesn't have actual feelings for). he's the high school heartthrob, who can do anything he wants, and whoever he wants.

— ( HE SEES HIMSELF ) as a cold-blooded, no-heart villain. he's nothing but a dumb fighter who can't commit to a relationship because everyone sees him as an object rather than a complex person. he's bruised knuckles with a split lip and pounding headache, using fighting and the pain that comes from it to try and cover the uselessness he feels; but to no avail. useless, just a fighting eye candy machine who fucks everything up no matter how hard he tries not to.

— ( KIT IS ACTUALLY ) a fucking human being. he makes mistakes that he eventually apologizes for. he tries his best to get as good grades as he can, to protect his brother and his girlfriend, to keep his loved ones safe. he tries his best to keep his skins from bruising and splitting, but he sees only red when he witnesses someone hurting someone else for no reason or stupid reasons. he's incredibly intelligent, and has a big heart, but his self-doubt and self-loathing cloud every good characteristic from his thoughts.

— kit is dating ( LOGAN LENZE ), the best friend of his little brother, ( MACK JENSEN ), in secret from everyone including his brother, for several reasons including The Best Friend Rules mack and logan made when they were younger, one being that logan can't date mack's brother.
— kit doesn't approve of mack's boyfriend, ( ZAYDE SCHOEN ), at all. one, kit doesn't think anyone's good enough for his brother ( yes, kit is THAT sibling ), and two, kit has this perception of zayde that he's most likely a player or something because of how everyone else perceives him; because he doesn't actually know zayde, basically, and just goes off what everyone else says.
— tw: motor accident, death, coma, depression. i need to clean up this Timeline, but at some point, mack finds out about kit and logan dating, and they get into a HUGE fight. kit and logan then get into a big fight, and kit angrily rides off on his motorcycle, not a very good idea. he ends up crashing, i don't know how yet, but he does, and he dies while being operated on for about two minutes before he's resuscitated. he goes into a coma for awhile, gotta figure out how long, and when he wakes up, he's all joking n shit. he gets home awhile after, has to go through physical therapy and whatnot, and he gets angry and overall upset at himself. he's told there's a large chance he'll never be able to play football again, and it fucks him up because it's the only thing, he believes, he's ever been good at.
— after the crash, he rekindles his love for music, and finds solace in it; he finds his passion for music overrides any passion he'd ever had for playing football.
— he towers over most people, at least his age and, of course, younger. he stands at about 6-foot-three, and has a very lean, well-built body structure from working out and football.
