[align=center][div style="width:400px;line-height:0.9;text-align:justify;font-size:9pt;"]tw for the death of an animal and mention of people dying

Emmor was used to the cold at this point, having grown up in a just like this one- although snow seemed to cover the town he had lived in almost all year round where he lived. Gstaad, switzerland, had seemed to always be snowy. emmor, however, wasn't born in Gstaad. he was born and raised in seattle, and went to Gstaad by boat because his parents had a thirst for adventure. /tw/ I wont go into detail about what happened to them on the way over, lets just say it was gruesome. /end tw/ Emmor, of course, had pushed those memories to the back of his head.

Emmor looked down to the snow that reminded him so much of home, leaning down to pick up a handful of snow, head tilted slightly as he crushed the fluffy little snowflakes into a little compact ball of snow, looking around the branches until he spotted a little tuft of brown fur, licking his lips and setting a hand over his rumbling stomach. he would have to eat soon, as much as he hated to kill innocent animals (he would eat them just fine if someone else did the killing, he just didn't like doing the deed) without a reason, but he hadn't found any berries, so this seemed to be his only option. /tw/ he took a deep breath and wound his arm back before chucking the snow ball at the squirrel, watching white collide with brown, then watching the creature tumble into the snow.

he rushed to where it landed and winced. "sorry, little guy.." he mumbled and rose a hand to the creatures head, squeezing his eyes shut and snapping the neck swiftly and letting out the breath he had been holding. looking down to the lifeless body in his hands, he sighed and shook his head. he hated this. he hated how he had to eat to survive, that he had to end an innocent life with his own hands.. /end tw/

at least he hadn't used his gun.

/tw/ after he skinned the squirrel, built a fire, and cooked it, he began to eat. /end tw/ as he ate, he contemplated why humans needed to eat, why he hid his face, why he was alone in the world- just things he should keep to himself. holding up his mask so his mouth was free, he took small bites, humming softly. "wish i had some salt.." he whispered to himself, putting the picked clean bones next to him and then staring at them for a moment before kicking out the fire and pulling his mask back down. he gingerly picked up the bones and moved to the base of the tree, scowling under the metallic mask.

he began to dig with one hand, struggling with the dirt and snow until he had a decent sized hole, setting the bones into the hole and beginning to pat back down the dirt, marking the little make shift grave with a stone. he took his small switch blade from his pocket, and began to carve into the tree: R.I.P. SKUERAL.

he wasn't the best at spelling.

he sighed and scuffed the tip of his boot on the snow, patting the mud off his gloves. "sorry, squirrel."

Life was about surviving, and it was something Greer had come to accept long ago. She had become numbed to the death of animals. She in fact had grown to dislike them upon Gilbert getting mad at her for the time she killed one of his pet cat's. She hadn't meant to hurt him, she just had intended to prevent herself from starving. Gilbert, too. It seemed they just kept butting heads as time went by, but right now was a week of stoic silence between the two after his return. Life was about staying alive, no matter who you had to kill. That was how life was now.

Greer had been bordering Flintlock after checking with Gilbert's wound, but something stopped her in her tracks as her eyes gazed curiously and quietly at somebody. She was practiced in keeping her steps soft in the snow, and hesitantly, she began to move closer to the point the crunch of the snow could be heard. He buried a squirrel? Her brows knitted a bit, and for a moment, she stayed silent as she stood between the trees. She gave a small clear of her throat, observing the words carved in the tree. The misspell reminded her of when things were a simpler time, when people were allowed to learn how to read and write.

"Scuse me, hate ta interrupt, but yer trespassing the Flintlock Lodge." Greer would speak, trying to disregard what he was doing - seemingly eating food that might've been on their land. But what'd it matter? So long as he didn't hurt anyone, she believed it'd be okay. And besides, that's what she had her axe for, and her gun. She cast her pupils down a little at the thought, but looked up quickly again realizing the importance of remaining wary.

[align=center][div style="width:400px;line-height:0.9;text-align:justify;font-size:9pt;"]looking to the girl that had found him, emmor would make sure his hood was pulled over his cap, the bill shielding his mask and keeping the sun from his face. he pat his hands together, making the last bits of mud slide from the smooth leather, placing his hands in his hoody pockets. his posture, as always was utterly terrible, making him seem shorter than he was- less threatening. "sorry." he stated, tilting his head curiously. this girl seemed around his age, if not then maybe a year older. he had encountered bandits, of course, but none had simply talked, and most were very large men who tried to break his mask or take it from him. "are you a bandit? i haven't seen one who wasn't decorated in spikes." he inquired curiously, moving a little closer in an attempt to get a better look at her.

[div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: helvetica; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 1.4;"]Greer quickly shrugged at his apology, thinking for a moment. "Yer fine." She mustered quickly, sliding her fingers into her pockets in a seemingly relaxed manner. She remained expressionless at the inquiry, though was tempted to quirk a brow eyes snapping to his hands cautiously as he moved forward. "Nae. I live here with a group called Flintlock Lodge. I'm not a bandit." She answered, a bit confused by his comment of the spikes but deciding not to ask for elaboration. If anything, the other looked like a bandit - covering his entire self up and all.
