So I need a reason that he was so quiet for so long

Maybe he left to go find his sister? He was separated from his family when the blackout happened and he has a younger sister so maybe some npc mentioned her name and he was like "I have to go find her" and so he goes looking where they said they saw her? But then I don't think he'd come back until he either found her or found her body. So if I did this she's either dead or coming back to the lodge with him?

Also open to completely different ideas???

i think the sister idea would be interesting, possibly moreso if she was alive and you or someone else actually played her bc. more characters add flavor to the lodge
