[x][justify]vigilante: liú zhìháo (刘志豪) "will, purpose, ambition" + "brave, heroic, chivalrous" & māhir ibn tayseer ibn sharaf al-hariri & just goes by mahir, (mah-HEER). they're a chinese/moroccan(berber-arab?) mixed kid who currently is studying to be either a lawyer or a criminal investigator but most likely a lawyer because i'm getting serious "how to get away with murder" feels from them and i don't know why. anyway, they're an intelligent kid with a bright future, loving parents and just overall a pretty average college kid just trying to get by with what little he has but, at the same time, he sort of lives a double life. by day he's just mahir, the dorky law nerd who drinks way too much coffee to be healthy and survives only on ramen and honeynut cheerios; by night, however, he's a masked vigilante known for his brutality and mercilessness on people who have either managed to escape prosecution for their crimes, were never found out or were given horrible sentences. he manages to get away with it because of his studies in that field and is fucking brilliant at it and sort of has a sherlock-ish way of seeing things? it's the main reason he's so easily able to track down suspects who thought they had gotten away with the downright terrible things they've done.[/justify]

[x][justify]foster care: a character who spent their entire life in the foster care system after being rescued from an extremely abusive family or something of the sort; i'm conflicted because i have so many characters with abusive or absent parents but, well, write what you know i guess. i might actually have him have been put up for adoption when he was a baby because his mother was only fifteen years old when she had him and unprepared to be a mother so it's likely that he was born into and raised in foster care. which, isn't really that much better because he had a social worker who was older and had long since given up on trying to actually help any of the children who he was in charge of and thus this character went through some of the most brutal foster care homes imaginable. it wasn't until the home where the children were kept in cages in the barn that they first tried to run away and where then sent to a boys home in the city where they were attacked and brutalized by the older boys. they suffered through a lot and were never able to get adopted, which was very hard for them because they always wanted a family to love and care for but were never able to achieve that -- it's likely one family tried but then sent him back because he wasn't what they had wanted in a child. throughout his entire childhood this character was able to get good grades, they were smart and threw themselves into their education because when they were learning then they weren't dwelling on how much pain they were in. when they turned eighteen and were still part of the foster care system (the government is required to pay for college for kids who remain in foster care their entire lives: many don't take advantage of it because schooling is hard when moving around so much) they were able to apply for colleges and were actually accepted into an ivy league school; it was a rough time for them because they weren't as capable as many people in that school but they still managed to pass with honors. after graduation they become something of a lawyer or even something revolving the care of children in this world and want to make a difference for displaced children going through difficult situations. he's been through hell and thus becomes a foster parent who deals with "unruly" or "difficult" children after being pulled from abusive home lives; he's very, very good at it and with his accumulated wealth tries to give his new charges the best lives he possibly can. he wants to make a difference, he cares, he wants children to have a home and to feel wanted and it's likely that he tries to adopt children who have no hope of getting out of the system. the best dad imaginable (song changeui or martin freeman / late thirties)[/justify]

[x][justify]biker princess: i honestly have no excuse for this character other than i wanted a little brat character who was also in control of a lot of tough characters despite them being both short and small. they're part of a biker gang that travels the country and sort of has a bad reputation but that's mostly because of them because they have their little gay finger wrapped around everyone in that gang. which, is not a bad thing because the gang is their family and they love them because that gang helped him escape from his truck driver asshole of a father and gave him a home when he did not have one. like, yeah, maybe he screws most of them but that doesn't mean anything because this character doesn't do anything they don't want to do -- they're in control, they're the "manipulative" one and they're the one who controls when and where they do things. they live a free life and they're happy with it because they never stood a chance in the normality of just being an everyday joe. they like wearing leather and kind of have an oral fixation but it's mostly for sweets, they really love sweets and would marry you if you gave them candy. (kim bobae / early twenties).[/justify]

[x][justify]sigmund corporation: to celebrate the fact that "to the moon" finally got a sequel i've finally decided to live out my dreams and to make a character based around the idea or, at least, make one who actually works at sigmund corporation. there isn't much to say about this character because i don't have a lot of information about them yet: what i do know however, is that they're likely in this job because of some kind of traumatic experience because it's me and trauma is the only thing i know. i had the idea of them losing their sister or a close family member (father, mother, grandmother, grandfather) from some kind of terrible disorder that destroyed that person's life -- i'm leaning towards little sister because it would fit in a lot better with the mindset i have for them? like, they work at this company because they wanted to give people the chance at accomplishing their dreams, they didn't want someone to die without feeling like they had ever lived and once sigmund set up they knew exactly what they had to do in order to accomplish that mission. it may not be the best sort of job but they don't care, all they want is to give people a chance and to die happy and not broken and regretful. (matthew gray gubler / middle twenties).[/justify]
