THREAD INTERACTION--FELIX AND REV WANT TO KNOW

track!! i just started getting active again so i can't contribute to much

agreeing with everything for the most part tho (although im guilty of the common room thing whoops)

mathias is super extroverted and happy so he feels rly weird interacting with introverts bc he doesn't want to make them uncomfortable so if people are hesitant to talk to him he won't talk to them bc he wants to respect boundaries

i'll see if i can't think of something to contribute though!

mm i think part of the whole introvert/extrovert thing that i at least hope to work on? is more in the sense of assigned things like. well this is rev, not me but--as we're doing fairly well imo in terms of activity?? rev rlly has been wanting to do real patrols etc
and ik i want to do more where tasks arent just one person doing it but like. multiple ppl bc then its like 'hey ur all here. do the thing' regardless of introversion or whatever and then hopefully interaction cna come from it??

Hey there!! Okay, so what Rev and I have noticed here is that, both thanks to people's comments and feedback and our own experiences, is that in Flintlock at least, and perhaps elsewhere but right now Flintlock is our focus--

that in a lot of ways, this group seems to have trouble with interaction. There's often a lot of wonderful oneshots, and even plenty of wonderful threads, but it seems like it's difficult to get a lot of back and forth going, or interaction in general. That's not to say there's none of it, of course.

But what we really want to get from y'all is essentially, what kind of plots, threads, etc, do you find easiest to respond to, most fun to respond to? Think about what about a thread--length, setting, plots, etc--helps you actually post a response--not a track.

What kind of threads would you like to see more of? Etc.

i ammm not super useful here considering i generally post on everything i can no matter what the thread's about but ! track for now
things i generally?? like?? DONT respond to again tho are. ig anything where they dont?? acknowledge my character? but thats more of like. a personal thing
i just lose motivation rip but that hasnt happened but for a few times so :'0c

I have been reeeeaaaallllyyyy inactive and just plain demotivated and BAD in terms of responding to open threads for the past week or so (it's because I loaded up on too many private threads, but I've steadily knocked those responses out and nkw I'm getting back on the right track) but I generally try to reply to anything I find with under 5 posts although I am horribly bad at joining threads rip and after I've replied to most of those I go back and reply to things that seem interesting. But mostly I'd like to see more games, or things that get characters to know more about each other. I'm planning on making a game thread tonight, actually, so that's...a thing lol

Also, threads that don't have daunting first posts make me happy. Like, threads that don't have a ton of stuff happening in the post so that it requires a tl;dr. And first posts that are too short don't give enough details for me to even gain any muse to respond, so a good middle is the kind of first post I like to respond to tbfh

And omfl SETTING
The common room is being used. So much in open threads and I both loce and hate it because it's a common room and that's what it's for, but characters aren't always going to be in the common room so I'm getting a bit burnt out on that I think??? Idk, that's just my opinion and I can still post easily in threads with that setting; don't let it change what y'all are posting :^)

+ DEFINITELY DITTOING THE DAUNTING FIRST POSTS like i really like having a middle ground and then like?? after im integrated i can post longer posts? idk its weird

I definitely like a middle ground, though granted I tend to prefer on the shorter side of that.

I think one issue is that with a few exceptions--ie peter frankly--a lot of flintlock is super introverted and that makes it harder for interaction to make...sense. so people posting threads I think have it kinda set against them?

And my advice there is really just to people replying to think of a reason for your character to interact other than a wish to. like...I have johannes run into people, cliche as it might be. Or I have a fricking chicken chasing him. Or in general a reason outside of Joh's own interests sort of pushing him into threads.

and yeah I like the rooms of the lodge being used but hey, we have a storage room in the basement. an infirmary. a kitchen. bedrooms. we have a LOT that can be used. we have the barn. the greenhouse. the rabbits. I feel like all of those could be used to help make little uniue threads?

yeah ben is introverted but he always runs into people im sorry hes so uncoordinated or just somehow forces himself into conversations, albeit very awkwardly
so ive got no issue there, personally im pretty good w going back & forth? i think ive just not been getting replies rip (tho i am guilty of not replying to my OWN threads bc i'm so caught up in other threads that i forget about mine but thats another personal problem aksjhasjkf)
