[align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: helvetica; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 1.4;"]Hey guys so a while ago we got rid of our old titles and mentioned getting them up and running after we got the ranks sorted out and implemented IC. And while we're still working on filling up the ranks, I wanted to get this discussion up and running now. So what kinds of titles do you want to see?
- They could be rewards for participation or skills. Such as a character participating in # amount of spars and getting Title A, and a character participating in # amount of medical training sessions and earn Title B. I personally like these but I would prefer that they weren't the ONLY type of titles we had, you know.
- They could also carry permissions. Like a field medic title, a game master title, a conservationist title, etc etc. They would be the people that had permission to do quick medical things when the official medics can't make it, organize hunts, and decide which trees are best to chop down. Stuff like that.
- They could be based on achievements. This is sort of like the first one, but not quite. Perhaps a character has been around Flintlock for three months, they could earn a title for being loyal to Flintlock. If they're super active around the group, they could get Title C for being a major presence. These are flexible and if we go with it, there would definitely be a lot of discussion about what we would want to value in this group in particular.
- We could do a mix of all of them. Personally this is what I'd want to do, that way we have a wide variety and they're not hard to earn, but they still carry some weight behind them and would generally have an actual impact on IC patterns. For example, Character A goes on a sparring spree to earn Title A; ends up breaking their arm and slowing down their progress instead. Character B panics over getting Title B, which allows them to do something they love but are terrified of messing up. Character C gets fawned over by friends and family because they did it, they finally earned their first loyalty title. That's something I love seeing lmao.
So what are your opinions on all of this? Do you have different types of titles that we could do??
