&& you know how basically the hallmark of an american dad is playing catch in your backyard? dante didn't have anything close to that growing up because his own dad was a piece of shit who took all of the money that his mom earned and spent it at strip clubs while his kids were starving. but that guy left. and dante eventually got over it, but he still has the chronic depression and a whole lot of things swept under his brain's carpet. not to worry! dante is that kind of good dad though. the kind who drops their kids off at school and makes them lunch and tucks them in with a kiss.
&& writes in colored pencils like a bad bitch (i swear, he just thinks colors are super duper pretty).
&& he's in IB and his lowest grade is a 97 but if you ask he won't tell you because he likes to maintain an air of mystery. most people assume that he's a dumbass and he doesn't mind because then he doesn't have to talk to those assholes.
&& LOVES ART. HE IS AN ART ADDICT. he loves making sculptures and sketching milo "like one of his french girls". if you want to be his friend, invite him to an art gallery in a sketchy neighborhood and he'll be there, ready to party and discuss the symbolism behind a dot.
&& always wears a jean jacket. he has one with an embroidered tiger with roses around it, one that says "not your girl", and the one he usually wears, which is plain, but he rolls up the sleeves and it's covered in blue and yellow paint.
&& he shows you that he loves you by sticking up for you when someone is being rude to you. he also shows his affection by leaving little poems that he writes around the house and cooking and cleaning.

&& he also gets angry frequently, but he's a softie, and if he ever expresses anger at you he'll immediately be mad at himself.
&& he has a weird relationship with god. he doesn't hate the bible or the torah or anything, but he does hates hypocrites, and he finds a lot of them are in places of worship. also, he's always kind of struggled because his father was catholic and always fought with his mom about which religion he would be predominantly raised under. he's kind of agnostic, but with strong religious tendencies (more so towards reformist jewish).

&& he's a really good hiphop dancer but he sucks at any other kind of dance (especially ballroom dances because he doesn't think they have any soul)

&& can't do most of science (other than physics and astronomy) for shit but he's amazing at math, english, and history.
