I have two phones, an iPhone 5C and a Samsung Sky J7 Pro and they both have their pros and cons. I have more storage on the Samsung but the camera sucks ass. The iPhone, I've had for about 5 years now and it hasn't cracked or broken at all and is in pretty good shape, other than not having a huge ton of storage space.

i HAVE an iphone but id agree with going with android on the simple fact that.
my iphone 5 works, and like. i think itll likely last for a while but once its gone im getting an android or. well, rlly anything but apple because of the issues with apples. control freakness over compatibility, repair, and like legiana said--apple has done a fucktonne to try and force me into buying a newer iphone every goddamn year
and you deal with a lot less of that with.. most other brands
You might just need a new battery if you still want to keep your old phone + spend less money
I've always been an iPhone 6/7 kind of person and want to avoid upgrading for as long as possible, but the iPhone 10 does look pretty cool in terms of the camera and there are Huawei phones for those who aren't in the US (which I've heard are the best).
(Apple admitted to draining the battery life on purpose of iPhones 6 and below so if you get a new battery, it's supposed to only be about $30.)

well currently mine is a Blu Studio C or smth and I've had it for about three years
the battery is more or less okay, tho it does sometimes restart itself over and over until I restart it by holding the button down
or the screen will just go gray while I'm watching something and I need to restart, losing my vid/place
not to mention it's been disconnecting from wifi for no reason lately so
and there's p much no space on it anymore for updating apps n shit even tho I use ,, three
I could go on tbh
honestly the battery is the least of my problems lmao
oh and while a good camera would be great, from what I'm hearing I'm not gonna get Apple just for that like. it doesn't have to be the best camera on the market

the app thing is because there’s a recycle bin folder you can access if you plug it into a computer. nothing sctuslly fully reletes from a phone and it still takes up space

ah fam, my mom had a samsung and she's just switching over to apple bc she likes it more so it's whatever you prefer. i personally have the iphone x and it's working great, it was a free upgrade so you know how it is. it may take a little bit getting used to the notifications and etc having to swipe down from the top, and there's no more home button but i love it
honestly, the best phone is up to you
some people love landlines
i know people who by choice still use flip phones
some people hold onto their iphone 4s forever
some people get itouches instead
and some people have to upgrade every year
in a way it's like getting a car

honestly, i think it's such a beautiful and well-working phone and i don't have one but i wish i had the 3
i recommend watching a bunch of phone walkthroughs on youtube to see what kind of brands/models look good to you
