the sun set over the horizon and the masquerade ball was starting to pick up as the dark night took over the sky. high class events like this were never really walker's thing, even as a child. he remembered always begging his parents to go home after only being there an hour, something sis parents always said was considered rude and deemed that to be his worst trait. oh, if only they knew the man their little rowan would grow up to be. if he thought about it long enough, he could hear the cries his mother would let out if she found out about all of the things he has done, and if he sat there long enough without having a drink or any type of drug he could get his hands on, he could feel his fathers disappointed look staring holes into the back of his head.
if they were still around, maybe he wouldn't have turned out the way he did. but, they were dead. something walker still couldn't forgive and forget now almost a decade later. they were gone, and he was this.
though there was still that very possibility that someone would deem it improper and rude, walker was itching to leave only a bit into the party. the music was mildly annoying to him and all of the good drugs weren't up for grabs anymore. after his visit to flintlock, lucia had been a consistent image in his head, making it hard for him to even attempt to seduce any women in the badlands, even if most of them were easy. with all of his normal vices being sent to a halt, there just wasn't anything that intrigued him anymore in the current moment. that was until william stirling came into view.
he stood in place as he examined will, waiting until he noticed him as well before he put a smug smile on his face and sent a little wave over to his ex friend. his eyes remained on will as he watched the other man walk out of the casino, making walker stand up from his chair and drink the remaining alcohol in his glass. "here we go." he said quietly to himself as he left the casino as well after a few moments of waiting. once he stepped outside the doors of the casino, his hands dug into his pocket and pulled out the pack of cigarettes he had, lighting one up as he walked over to where will had been waiting for him.
"miss me, william?"
