Addilyn didn't excatly like the cold or the snow for that, but she needed a place to stay, but didn't want to stop. She was freezing cold and wanted to stop, but she knew as long as she was moving she was getting some heat. She shivered as she continued on. She looked at the grey sky.
She stopped near a tree. "It's too cold" She said to herself as she looked around. She then sat down knowing that it was a bad idea considering that she could get hypothermia from the cold weather around her, but it didn't matter to her at the moment. She need to rest. Addilyn looked at the sky again as she rubbed her hands together. She took a deep breath and breathed it out seeing it. "Come on I got to keep moving." Addilyn mumbled to herself as she stood back up. Her body was aching from the cold.
Addilyn continued on in the cold as she was wanting to stop and rest. Addilyn got a few feet from the tree that she was sitting by earlier before falling to the ground. She was exhausted and cold. She laid stomach down in the snow wither her head turned to face the right. She looked at the ground next to her. "Crap." Addilyn said her eyes barely open.
While her eyes where opened she noticed that it was getting late. She frowned trying to move, but it only ended in pain and numbness. Addilyn looked at the ground again before closing her eyes. She was still awake for the time been.

[align=center] the territory is ruthless, it's members even more so. while not outwardly antagonistic (well, not all of them), they are not a group of door mats and sweet mothers. being out here alone and unaware is almost as dangerous as being underdressed for the winter weather, and it seems that addilyn has managed both of these situations at once.
with the sun beginning it's lazy descent, anyone who knew a single thing about survival would have gotten to shelter by down. pyrrhic himself was on his way back to the lodge, having finished up a mental territory mapping disguised as a patrol. if he wasn't so prone to staring at the ground, there was a high chance he wouldn't swept right past the limp form that melded into the base of the barren tree. just her luck, his eyes fell upon her body and he stopped in his tracks.
there is first a wave of natural curiosity and concern for whoever she was, a natural reaction that pulsed through his body and forced his muscles into movement. he'd dropped to a crouch before stopping himself, caution all at once taking over. pyrrhic had no way of knowing if this was a trap or not, and considering the fractured relationship the lodge had with prairie, he feels his hesitance is justified.
standing back up, the male steps in a wide circle about addilyn, attempting to discern her state of being. there comes a noncommittal noise from the back of his throat, but it's quickly swallowed by the evening winds. she doesn't make the first move, so pyrrhic supposes he must be the one to do so. once again, he fluidly drops to the ground, balancing easily on the balls of his feet to minimize contact with the freezing snow. hands reluctantly leave the warmth of the pockets and folds of his clothing, bringing with them a small blade from goodness knows where.
there is no safe edge, so he attempts to prod at her in restrained movements. the flat side of the knife comes down gently upon her cheek, almost like he was attempting to wake a friend from a nap. better to see if she was conscious first before doing anything else. still, his mind was already wandering to just what he was supposed to do with her. there was no way he could carry her back to the lodge - should he need to - and he felt that dragging her across the ground would do more harm than good, even if the end destination meant warmth and medical attention. pyrrhic's nose scrunches delicately with the thought, the free hand yanking stray strands of hair away from his face the only indication of his present state of deliberation.

Addilyn had felt something against her skin. She slowly opened her eyes to see another in front of her. Panic set in when she realize she was in trouble. She looked at male that was there. "Who are you?" She asked quietly not moving since her body was hurting from the cold.
Addilyn still haven't moved but wasn't sure if the person there was going to help her or not. She didn't say anything after asking who the male was. She just looked at him with soft, blue eyes. Addilyn then sneezed because of cold.
Despite being awake, she find easier to talk and think being cold if her eyes were closed. She was breathing normal for now. The cold was also starting to get to her. "It's too cold." She managed to say, but she still didn't tell the male there what her name was or anything.
Addilyn was wanting to sleep now that she was getting to the point where she starting not to feel her arms and legs. She opened her eyes one and looked at the male with pleading eyes wanting help since she knew that if she didn't get help that she could die out here.

Cold, dangerous, maybe even sometimes cruel. Flintlock Lodge housed good people, hard-workers and the persistent who would do whatever it took to survive, and they knew to provide the same treatment to outsiders who urgently needed their help. They were no charity, however; they relied on the good morals of counterparts to pay back what they owed through loyalty and diligence.
❝ Pyrrhic, what’s this? ❞ Eddie enquired as he neared the Flintlocker examining the newcomer, brows pinched together with concern. As he approached, he quickly came to realise that this was a newcomer in dire need of help; he wasn’t sure what circumstances lead her to being face down in the snow, but the below-freezing temperatures did extreme things to a person’s psyche. Eddie crouched at the woman’s side, looking down at her sternly. ❝ Are you able to stand? There’s a lodge not too far off from here. ❞ If she wasn’t able to stand, Eddie knew that either him or Pyrrhic was going to have to carry the woman back to the safety of the lodge. It wasn’t ideal, but keeping her alive was his priority.

[align=center] movement, faint, but there, and a question breaches the relative silence that had blanketed the area. he holds back any sort of reasonable response, instead he swiftly returns the knife to the depths of his many layers, his eyes never once leaving her prone form. "who are you?" he eventually returns, brows furrowing just slightly with the inquiry. he watches her eyes shutter, finally concluding that she really posed no threat, but remaining still in the face of all he could not do.
it's edmund's approach that should get addilyn's attention, and he almost wants to turn her head so that her pleading gaze may finally be off his useless position. pyrrhic swallows his guilt, allowing shame to creep across his countenance, though the emotion doesn't entirely reach his eyes. "i...i found her," he yields, the halting speech all at once familiar and forced.
rising in one swift motion, shoulders drawing up as he looks just over edmund's shoulder in a refusal to meet his gaze. "i can't carry her." it's a simple statement, but not one made out of self-centered righteousness or laziness. instead, his words are weighed down by insecurity and meekness, two very real emotions that he's allowed to come to the surface for just this moment. the cold weather has only made his condition worse, and while addilyn doesn't look like she'd be much of a handful, pyrrhic can practically feel his joints slipping out of place already. "...by myself..." he belatedly tacks on, casting his gaze to the ground, eyeing the girl in the edges of his vision.

Addilyn kept her eyes on Pyrrhic since she hadn't notice Edmund. She was tired, but she didn't dare to try and sleep just yet. Instead the young girl listened to the two. And since Pyrrhic had asked her what her name was, she decided it was best to try and see if she could answer him. "Addilyn." was all she could manage to say to him. She wanted to say more and move, but she was finding it a bit difficult.
Addilyn still looked at Pyrrhic and was surprised when she finally noticed that there was another there. She needed help and she knew it. Addilyn didn't like relying on others, but at the moment she didn't have much of a choice if she wanted to survive. Her shiver from the cold again and she was starting to lose full feeling in her legs and arms since she was laying in the snow.
Addilyn wanted to roll over and looked at Edmund, but she couldn't so she looked at Pyrrhic hoping to get somewhere warm soon if she was to survive. Addilyn was able to barely bit her bottom lip. She was losing all of her energy to keep her eyes open. She slowly started to close them, breathing lightly.

He found her this way, he’d then point out, Eddie sighing before looking back down to the woman. His words didn’t bring Eddie closer to understanding how she ended up in this situation; he’d have to ask her when, or if, she reached full consciousness again. Working his jaw, Eddie slowly nodded his head with Pyrrhic’s words. He couldn’t force the man to do anything, especially since he was only just recovering himself.
Kneeling down into the snow, Eddie nodded his head towards the lodge before resting a hand on Addilyn’s shoulder to roll her onto her side. ❝ Help me by getting the door open once we’re back at the lodge, is that all right Pyrrhic? ❞ Eddie questioned assertively before peering down at Addilyn.
❝ Right, I’m gonna pick you up now, Addilyn. Get you somewhere warm. ❞ With that, Eddie carefully lifted her up in his arms, wobbling as he rose to his feet before glancing towards Pyrrhic. ❝ She’s freezing. Lets go. ❞ He wouldn’t waste a second before beginning to work through the snow to get her back to the lodge.
