[div style="font-family: arial; font-size: 13px; width: 480px; line-height: 100%; color: grey; margin-top: 10px"][justify]Thudump, Thudump.
Came the terribly satisfying smack of the chickens head as it lolled against the ground, enticing the canine who carried it. He had snagged this thing right out of the barn a few miles back, he hadn't actually traveled that far just for this plumped prey. Rather than, he had decided he needed a breath of fresh air, and an annoying habit of his was to get lost in his own thoughts. His walk turned into quite the little journey and if anyone asked, he would simply use hunting as an excuse for his absence. Not that anyone would exactly miss his presence.
Charles had purpose in his strides, cranium held high as always; his blue luminaries flicking their greeting to anyone who looked his way. He carried himself farther, until some familiar turf was in his line of sight. Picking up the pace, he reached the middle of the clearing. Shifting the avian in his mouth, his optics flushed with irritation God...was it hot today? Or was it just him?
Charles' tail was flapping lamely behind him; he had been heading towards the fresh kill pile, the chicken hanging just in front of him. There were many members crisscrossing through the area. The light air that was blowing off of the motion was enjoyable, but definitely not enough. He felt his maw part to let out a lolling pink tongue, dropping the chicken in its wake.
There was no way he could stay in the open for this long.
''Anybody know where the food pile is?''
He didn't know if that was how it worked around here, better to figure out now, than look inferior later. He just wanted to get this food somewhere and then get somewhere cool.
