Edmund is the ever-so-stoic Captain of Flintlock Lodge whose personality is often as expressive as a red brick wall. He’s quiet and bottles a lot up, and yet is cunning and calculative all the same. Has a gravely serious and no-nonsense air to him. Cautious. Perceptive. But thoughtful - for the amount of time he keeps quiet, he’s often drowning in thought, whether that be a good or bad thing. He often comes across as someone who can kill the mood instantly, but in reality he was once a social butterfly; he has just lost his touch the more sombre he's become. Eddie tries his best to come across as someone who knows how to have fun and knows how to make friends, but nowadays he struggles and it makes him seem quite aloof and withdrawn! Sad times only for the unluckiest man ever!
Eddie was raised in Boston alongside his family who ran a criminal enterprise, controlling imports and exports in the docklands. They also owned a well known whiskey distillery where they used the company for money laundering purposes. He grew up being very into the luxurious lifestyle that being in a crime family afforded, often travelling to New York to socialise and party, whilst learning the ropes of the family business when back in Boston.
However, after a series of discordant arguments, loyalties and priorities began to waver within the family, making them vulnerable to an attack. And, one day, an enemy infiltrated the family home. Ever since that day, life had changed for Eddie. After the large family was displaced, he travelled with his father, step-mother, and two younger half-siblings until they settled down in Flintlock Lodge, a group which had been on the Stirling family's radar for many months as a backup plan in case the family had to run away. Eddie settled down in Flintlock Lodge and, after his father and step-mother disappeared on a mission to search for the rest of their family, Ed remained in charge of holding fort with his two half-siblings until they could figure out what to do next.
Since then, there have been a lot of updates in Eddie's life.
( Trigger warning for death, mental health ailments and alcoholism. ) His family eventually arrived in Flintlock Lodge, and so did his father who returned with vengeance after he was captured and their captors killed Eddie's step-mother. Eddie's father shot and killed his oldest brother in retaliation, so Eddie killed his father and took over the family business. During this time, he got married and now has two sets of twins. But, as a serial cheater, his (now former) wife broke the marriage off.
He has also taken over Flintlock Lodge after the former leader went missing - some still theorise that he killed her. During some personal business, he had a near-death experience where the enemy tried to drown him; this nearly killed him. He developed PTSD several months after the incident, as well as depression after the death of his brother and father, and he struggles deeply with his drinking habits and depressive thoughts.
