She hadn’t always been a morning person and quite frankly, she still wasn’t. Somer was, though, and he was slowly making it so that she had to be. She hadn’t ever expected to be a mother, at least so soon, anyways. It had all happened very quickly, but she wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. She liked having someone else to look after, someone to put before herself. She hadn’t ever experienced a love so strong until the moment little somer george was placed in her arms, her heart melting the instance she saw his big brown eyes that mirrored her own so well. Her little boy owned her heart and she never planned on taking it back from him.
A small smile teased her lips as she watched him sit up, small hands waving his toy fox around in the air. "careful, bubby, you’re gonna give mr. fox whiplash if you keep doin’ that." she joked around even though he wouldn’t understand. She crouched down by him and once he looked over at her, she grinned and tickled his side gently which made him squeal happily and start giggling, earning a laugh from her as well. "you’re such a silly boy." she dropped down on the ground to sit, leaning back onto her arms as somer began to babble at his favorite toy.
Ophelia leaned her head back and closed her eyes, letting the sun shine down on her face. As a kid, she always loved to be outside. She remembered playing with her brother in the woods behind her childhood home, pretending sticks were swords and that they were knights. Somer had seemed to pick up on this trait as well, always doing ‘grabby hand’ motions towards the door when they would be inside. He loved animals and flowers, even grass which he would pick at if he didn’t have a toy by him. The young baby loved a lot of things, but being outdoors was surely on the top of his list.
She was pulled from her peaceful trance as she felt somer’s hands on her belly, which made her smile and open her eyes to look at him. Ophelia laid fully on the ground, somer crawling towards her head before sitting again, dropping his fox to grab some of her hair to play with instead.
"be gentle, stinky." she reminded him, though he didn’t listen and just pulled it, making her nose scrunch up slightly.
