* Laughter fills in a delicate moment. All hidden behind abandoned windows and walls. Soft canvas stained with reds and purples, blood and bruises. A reflection to the face of damned. “It’s okay,” they whispers, “we’re okay, Sweetie.” Comfort seeps into words, caressing the fire that will soon die for it to become Hell itself: the world’s biggest nightmare, unfolded part of reality.

The Loner to the Lover

* Empty expression, numb skin, dullness remains on ever familiar figure. Silently watches as fingers find themselves an ancient temple to pray to, to die for. Through a mist, calloused palms land on a piece of gift. Feels too tender, too soft, yet fit just right between canine teeth. A growl rips through throat. Atmosphere distorts, but despite the changes, there will always be a sense of home for them. “Angel,” comes a series of clicks and hisses. An echo in a machine, a hymn, a I love you.

* Shaky hands on trembling skin. Nose presses onto collarbone, inhaling blood, exhaling fear. Despite worn bones and torn flesh, in darkness, there is light. It flickers, it exists nevertheless. “Yeah,” a whisper in return. Though, tone is laced with concern, from such reassurance of the resilience, it will believe, it will hope. Just for them. Through ire to all, through faith to them only. “We’re okay, Honey.”
