[b]sheogorath
[b]and i say to myself, what a wonderful world
(tw for violence)

The evening was shaded, the fading sunlight casting long shadows across the seaside town, darkness steadily swallowing the jagged, mountainous landscape like a hungry devil. Dark leather boots pressed against the grit as Sheogorath made his way through the little city, slowly making his way back home to his library, his uneven gait revealing his limp, as he leaned against the carved wooden cane in his grip. Starlight glittered amidst the darkening sky, illuminating the hazy twilight streets. That was when he heard the commotion. It sounded like some kind of struggle was taking place just around the corner. He heard what sounded like glass break, then there was a shout, followed by a few angry voices. Hurriedly, Sheogorath, his curiosity driving him forward at a swift gait, turned the corner and laid his blistering amber eyes upon the scene.

Three people surrounded a person he knew to be Gavril, and one of the hefty looking unknown individuals appeared to be dying upon the street. But Gavril appeared bloody, perhaps even dazed, though in the darkness, it was hard to make out facial expressions. All Sheogorath knew was that two men were staring down the bloodied Badlander, and neither of them looked pleased. He should help. Gavril...he had nothing against Gavril, did he? No, not at all. In fact, he doubted they had ever even interacted. He had seen the other person, of course, but little more. It was a shame. Gavril seemed like an interesting fellow to be around. Maybe not so interesting as Sheogorath himself, though, but then, who in the world could claim such a thing? Heh.

In any case, he should offer aid to his fellow Badlander, of course. Once upon a time, he had been a high rank, and such things had been his responsibility. Sometimes, he still felt like it was his responsibility. Perhaps it was a sense of camaraderie. Or maybe it was because he wasn't a fucking traitor, no matter what the damned brand on his chest said. Whatever. Sheogorath approached, his steps silent upon the pavement, his cane held in front of his slender figure, gripped tightly by bony fingers. As soon as he was close enough to the second man, he struck, slamming the pale colored, hardened glass eye that topped his cane into the skull of one of the men attacking Gavril. The thug crumpled, legs buckling as the weapon crashed into his delicate skull. He fell roughly to the ground, unconscious. Now there was only one man left.

(please wait for Gavril to reply)

I was an angel
Living in the garden of evil
[B][I]Me and God we don’t get along, so now I sing
[b][TW:blood, violence, death]

He had just been out for a walk, that was all. He had no reason to be on guard, though he had his tomahawk on him as always. Everything seemed to happen quickly: they appeared, Gav braced for the worst, then was hit in the head with a bottle which shattered upon contact. That's when they made a mistake, he grabbed his tomahawk and swung, causing one of them to collapse on the street and for him to get back the weapon and glare at the remaining as blood ran down the side of his head, maybe his face too.

Gav would curse under his breath, glaring between the two before they made any sort of advancement on him to attack. He had his tomahawk, necklace, and if it so called for it his little fangs. Two of these three things he had used before and knew they were quite useful. Though as he was attacked by two, one was pulled off by him though at the moment he was unable to look over at that moment to see Sheo.

There was one left, though they'd gain a similar fate as a previous person. It wasn't possible for him to use the tomahawk and as it was he was holding this idiot back, so of course, it was the least...clean option. He sank his fangs into their neck, though that was enough for them to step back, letting him use the necklace to finish them off though that didn't spare him any blood coverage.

He'd look over to Sheo, bloody from when hit with the bottle and killing two of the attackers. A somewhat shaky hand went up to touch his head, when he looked at it there was some glass and a bit of blood. Lovely. Gav shook his head, getting as much glass as he could out of it though he would agree after that was a bad idea to shake his head. Oh well. He looked at Sheo again "Sheo, right? [i]Mersi."

Typically when Cat got home in the evening, that marked the moment that there would be very little coming and going from their house. If there was, it was only next door, to Molly's. Tonight, however, Gav had wanted to take a walk by himself, and not really thinking much of it, Cat had agreed to stay home with the baby.

They only started getting worried when more and more time passed with him still not coming back. "What do you think, Mo?" They asked, straightening out the pink bandanna around her neck. "Should we go find Tata?" She gurgled and grinned, which they'd take as a yes. So they threw their shoes back on and headed out, Mo in one arm.

It wasn't long before they came across the scene, three men laying dead on the ground while Sheo and Gavril stood over them. Gav. He was covered in blood, the sight of which sent their stomach through their feet. Cat hurried forward, holding Mo close to their chest in hopes she wouldn't see the mess all around them. "Are you alright?" They asked, halting only a few inches away from their boyfriend. The concern was abundantly evident in their voice and posture, the ever cool and calm facade forgotten for the time being. They didn't even spare Sheogorath a glance (yet), their first and only thought was Gavril's well being.

They typically dress in dark colors (favoring jackets with some sort of writing on the back), and their hair is black. ⇥ Catalyst is ambitious, with the cunning and ruthlessness to reach their goals by any means necessary. They can be brutal when they feel it is needed, however when it's not they won't bother. They tend to be rather aloof and apathetic to most things and people, with some very rare exceptions. Provided those around them don't cross a few specific lines, they're content to leave them be, though they've been known to take an interest in some people, which seldom has a positive end for whoever their interest is in. They can be manipulative, and will often encourage people to make bad decisions. Those that stick by them will be rewarded, but those that do not will be cast out, as they've been outcast for their entire life and have learned to appreciate loyalty wherever they can find it. Even during the most stressful of situations, they usually keep a firm grip on their temper and keep their calm, though when they do snap and lose their temper, it is uncontrollable. They're remarkably observant, often able to deign much from subtle clues in what people say, how they say it and how they act.

[justify]He was being addressed by the person he had just saved. That was good he supposed. Sheo, right? Gavril asked, before speaking in a language Sheogorath couldn't understand. He hoped it meant some kind of thank you and not an insult. No matter, the red head nodded.

[b]"Sheogorath." He corrected happily. "But yer free to call me Sheo if ya want. It's easier to say, isn't it? Heh." He didn't mind it when people shortened his name. He knew it was a bit difficult to pronounce for people that weren't used to it. Before he knew it, Catalyst was there, and their concern was evident in both voice and expression. The leader didn't even spare the worm a glance, or share a thank you. Oh well. But as Catalyst checked on Gavril, there was a groan beneath the red headed man, as the older fellow he had knocked out with his cane began to slip into a strained half consciousness, eyes fluttering open as a hand flew to his skull, where blood seeped from a growing welt. The man looked dazed, but he was alive. Sheogorath hadn't hit him hard enough to kill him. He had thought he might have gotten in trouble for killing another Badlander, attacking thug or not, so he had pulled his strike, and lessened his effort. Gavril, however, seemed to have had no worries when it came to killing two of his attackers.

"This one is still alive, if you want to kill him." Sheogorath spoke directly to Gavril, instead of Catalyst. After all, it hadn't been the leader that had been attacked. "I figured it wouldn't be very appreciated if I had done any of the killing meself. Worms like me aren't exactly protected, when it comes to killing other Badlanders." He just hoped the trio didn't have any vengeful friends that would go after him, or Gavril, or the situation might be repeated, even worse next time.

[b]"Sheo is much easier" he admitted, he was having a hard enough time already with names. However he was glad Sheogorath didn't mind the shortened nickname. Then Cat appeared, their one-year-old in tow. He glanced between Sheo and Cat, they had basically ignored him. This probably called Gav out on not getting the whole worm thing but...oh well.

"I'm fine" he muttered to Cat, taking Mo from them and kissing her head. He looked at Sheo "You alright?" he asked hoping he was. Gav held Mo's hand when she went to touch his face, worried it could be bloody "Hey. No." he chuckled then looked over to Cat "Promise, I'm fine. I just got hit in the head with a bottle." and bit someone again. And used his necklace and tomahawk to kill people.

[i]"This one is still alive, if you want to kill him." He knew it was directed at him, but he had a feeling someone else wanted to have that honor. Needless to say he was glad he took Mo from Cat. Gav looked to Cat and sighed "I don't but I know who does" he muttered, holding Mo so she wouldn't be looking towards the poor soul. However, when Sheo mentioned being a worm, he looked confused "...Worm?"

Believe it or not, ignoring Sheo hadn't been a personal slight against him. Considering their boyfriend was bleeding from the head, they thought it was pretty reasonable and understandable that their undivided attention would be on him, at least until they knew he was okay. Which he claimed to be, but they didn't believe that so easily. "You sure?"

Now, at long last they looked over at Sheogorath. He appeared perfectly fine, and though they didn't relish the idea of doing it, they would still do it genuinely nonetheless. "Thank you." Ah, shit, were the thugs that jumped their boyfriend actually Badlanders? Cat couldn't imagine that anyone would be that braindead. They nudged one of the bodies with their foot, turning him over. No necklace. "Not our men. You're fine." Even if it had been a Badlander, they'd have found themself unable to get angry at anyone but the attackers.

With Mo now in Gavril's arms, they crouched down next to the man Sheo had left alive. They grabbed the front of his shirt and yanked him up. "Oi. The fug is wrong with you? Are you fugging braindead?" Oh, they did indeed want to kill him quite a bit. No doubt about that. They couldn't wait to tear into him, but the rational part of their brain was winning out. Find out why this had happened. Find out if there were more rats that might come to hurt the people they cared about. Find out where said rats were. Dispose of the body.

"Worm." They repeated, reaching back and unclipping a set of handcuffs from their belt. "The prisoners, the slaves, the ones have done harm to the Badlands and haven't earned their place again yet." The necklace that Cat had checked for? Sheo wouldn't have that either. They set to putting the barely conscious man in the cuffs, sparing Gavril a glance as they did so. "This is what these are for, see?" Once the man was locked into the cuffs, Cat stood up and hauled him to his feet.

[justify]( two for mentions of violence, light blood )

The eccentric red head passed Gavril a pleasant, friendly little grin, before the interaction with Catalyst progressed. The leader was no doubt concerned. Sheogorath kept his mouth shut, he had nothing to say, and nothing that added to the situation, so he maintained his silent atmosphere, leaning against his carved wooden cane, fingers gripping the bloodied, pale blue eye at it's peak. Finally, it seemed Catalyst had turned their attention to him. Sheogorath wasn't sure what to expect, but it certainly wasn't a thank you that he would have predicted coming from their mouth. Hmm. Maybe Catalyst wasn't a complete fool. Still a fool, though. After all, they had branded him and demoted him for a simple lie. Probably because Sheogorath had offended their little feelings.

[b]"Yer welcome." Sheogorath spoke simply, wrapping his free hand behind his back. It was a regal posture, and one a king would take on, with a straight, rigid back and a puffed out chest, the slightest hint of an upward tilt to the chin. It was a posture common for Sheogorath, and the one he was most often seen in, striding along like royalty, despite his rank.

Sheogorath observed Mo for a moment, but little more than that. He was reminded of why he had saved Catalyst from that assassin, well, asides from his own pride, of course. Sheogorath found himself curious, however, as to why Gavril didn't appear to know what exactly a worm was. Hmph. Did he not realize the depths at which Catalyst was willing to go to punish those that simply offend them? How...sheltered. Catalyst's explanation made the red head visibly frown. He wasn't a slave, nor a prisoner, and he had done no harm to the Badlands. At least not as a whole. Sheogorath had offended Catalyst, and nothing more.

"I'm not a traitor, though." The red head reminded with a roll of his shoulders. "At least that much is clear." And it was quite evident. He had saved Catalyst, and now he had saved Gavril. What more did the damned leader want from him? A fucking sacrifice in their name? Gross. The only name that should be sacrificed in is his own. Sheogorath, the madgod. Yes, that sounded nice. He'd take a sacrifice any day. Sheogorath hummed in pleasure at the thought as he watched Catalyst drag the living thug to his feet, locked in handcuffs. Did the leader just carry those around? Interesting.
